    Pros

Great company to work for with lots of perks. They are very family oriented as well as professional.

    Cons

I loved working for this company, the only drawback would be that they need to have more opportunities within the company for advancement.

    Pros

Mid level management is pretty great, especially in the EH&S department. EH&S is a growing department and more focus has been put on this program. Flexibility is the best about working with Martin.

    Cons

Growing company with growing pains, it can be challenging. Travel can be pretty frequent since the company is spread out across the US.

I have been working at Martin Resource Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible, great benefits, competitive pay, pretty good upper management. The company has locations all over the states so upward advancement is getting easier to obtain. Additionally, if you have a good work ethic, it will get noticed. Seniority is not as big a deciding factor for promotions, it's the job one does.

    Cons

Sometimes communication is not that great between high level management and the operation managers.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking for good investment properties.

I worked at Martin Resource Management full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good compensation and benefits. Great co-workers.

    Cons

Some managers lose site of the value of good, hardworking employees.

    Advice to Management

Try to get back to the less corporate bureaucratic way of life. Customers and employees alike both appreciated it.

    Pros

The benefits are awesome a place that thinks about your future financially. You have employee owned stock that you earn by just working there. The President really cares about his employees and still gives Christmas bonuses.

    Cons

It's a trucking industry so there are many times you will work with unprofessional people. It can be frustrating because of new federal regulations drivers have to abide by.

    Advice to Management

Continue to get to know your employees personalities not all rewards have to be monterarliy and bragging email on a job well done can go a long way in feeling appreciated.

I worked at Martin Resource Management full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team with very good attitudes. We worked together to solve problems. All levels of management understood the importance of environmental compliance as long as justification and options were presented. My experience was EHS wasn't just a catch phrase but a culture and way of life. It was a very good experience.

    Cons

The EHS group is very spread out in various locations so getting together for meetings was difficult. The reason for being spread out was valid, to best serve our internal customers, but it was still difficult. We communicated almost daily via electronic and telephone, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Also, I was laid off due to the downturn in the energy industry. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Great company and great people.

    Advice to Management

Use electronic meeting tools so teams can communicate better and more regularly, like Skype or other face-to-face meeting tools. This will save on travel costs and improve communications.

    Cons
