RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at Maryland Science Center full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Employees are friendly, helpful, The atmosphere makes you want to come to work
Cons
Camp-In program leaves the place smelly and dirty for employees when entering the building. Feel that the students should not still be in the building. It puts a little bit of a damper on the mood in the early hours. They just never seem to leave on time. Does not look good for incoming patrons.

Doesn't RecommendI worked at Maryland Science Center full-time for more than a year
Pros
Job activities are very fun-- working with science equipment and teaching the public.
Cons
The company has no long term vision-- it's day-to-day decision making, complacency with how things are and little ambition to change that. Part time workers have VERY little chance of becoming full time.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Maryland Science Center full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Great shows and staff. Demonstrating science principles is lots of fun. The Shed has great maker programs, and the planetarium and new exhibits are awesome.
Cons
Low pay. Management is out of touch with current science and education principles. Fun as an entertainment venue but if you want real science go somewhere else.

RecommendsPositive OutlookI worked at Maryland Science Center for less than a year
Pros
Most of the managers are friendly, thought one did have a bad day and kinda made it hard for us that day. It's fun helping the visitors. It's a great atmosphere to work in.
Cons
Sometimes guests can be a little difficult, wether it be parents or kids, but that comes with almost all jobs.
