I worked at Maryland State Department of Education full-time

      Pros

Worked with a core group of supportive people in an otherwise hellish and chaotic environment.

      Cons

Administration's cronyism, corruption and incompetence was off the charts. There was never any real sense that the people in charge were truly concerned with education.

      Advice to Management

Concerns were formally and collectively addressed to management. They were not interested in hearing them.
