I worked at Masco (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible hours and work policies, lots of opportunity for growth and to move around, focus on nurturing talent for leadership roles within the organization

    Cons

Mixed talent, culture varies across BUs, lot of legacy people still around, can feel bureaucratic at times, corporate trying hard to keep it lean at the top

    Advice to Management

During flux, usually its the good people who tend to exit early while the troublemakers and slackers remain. Take time to listen to the people on the ground.

I have been working at Masco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Middle management is great. Very nice atmosphere and tons of perks. Super friendly.

    Cons

Lack of clear strategy, not very competitive compensation. No formalised review process. Lack of leadership diversity.

    Advice to Management

Add more diversity to c level management. Clearer corporate strategy. Make executives more personable and accessible to working level.

I worked at Masco (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people you work with on a daily basis are wonderful. It is a real team feel. The work was rewarding.

    Cons

Executive management has changed in the last couple of years and not for the better. They do not seem to care about their employees and are real numbers driven.

    Advice to Management

Don't just talk about doing the right thing, actually do the right thing.

I worked at Masco (Less than a year)

    Pros

T accessible (close to Green Line)
    Flexible schedules
    Close to places to eat
    Close to hospitals

    Cons

You have NO set schedule. You're basically at their beck and call. And that's great if you have no other obligations (i.e. spouse, significant other, kids, etc). But, if you're like most people, not having a set schedule can prove to be difficult. They also micro manage. It's an extremely small call center and very tight spaces. You don't get your own desk, you use a different one each shift. The bathroom is right next to the phones. You also use other people's headsets, which was gross. And you have managers breathing down your neck, literally. Because their office is right near your phones. It's a decent second job if you need to pick up extra cash, etc, but it's a really, really high turnover rate. I'd suggest getting night shift or even overnights, as managers aren't there and they just leave you to do your job and don't hassle you as long as you don't make too many mistakes.

    Advice to Management

    Bigger call center
    Don't micromanage
Offer incentives to employees since pay isn't great
    Free T Pass

    Pros

Great time off. No weekends hardly
    Decent benefits and vacation
Mgmt is easy to work with and they don't work you very often.

    Cons

Direction of company could be better because it always seems like the end is near at times but somehow we stay afloat

    Advice to Management

Better pay, better direction and more real opportunities

I worked at Masco (Less than a year)

    Pros

MASCO is a large corporation with many opportunities and multiple smaller subsidiaries.

    Cons

Cares more about MASCO and not its subsidiaries like BrassCraft or Behr. Will kick out older employees in favor of younger employees with connections to management. Not a "family" like they promote.
