    I worked at Masimo full-time (More than a year)


    Masimo has a strong customer base using their core product spo2. There is good opportunity to build relationships with these customers quickly so you can leverage them long after you quit masimo.


    Crazy pressure, nobody stays long it's not worth it. The money isn't good enough to justify the rocky environment. I found management to be mean spirited in general and quick to terminate people for mysterious reasons or no reasons or for having one bad quarter. It doesn't matter if you've been a rock star all along, one bad quarter or two in a row puts a red "x" on your back. Salespeople should be entitled to a bad quarter or two once in a while without fearing for their jobs. The reason nobody stays longer than 18-24 months is because they get sick & tired of no job security. Also, many of the rainbow products are weird. There is no demand for it, only huge pressure to sell it. That gets old. New business from happy customer referrals are non-existent, except sp02 business once in a while. Any new rainbow business is always a long painful fight involving heavily negotiated contracts and management approvals and trials and the kitchen sink. It's been available for a long time many years but there's still no demand for it. That is a warning flag. If customers liked it, others would follow suit. Feedback is not encouraged and not welcome. Mnagement has all the answers and doesn't want to hear what you and your customers think. Squeaky wheels are fired. The company's reputation is struggling. They're dealing with a fda warning letter they got last year and still hasn't gone away and other serious legal things going on and a grand jury. You can find plenty of other online blogs with many negative postings about masimo like and a petition on People are questioning the accuracy of masimo devices. Government agencies are conducting inspections at the company that haven't gone well and management isn't talking about it. That is making people more suspicious and feeling betrayed because the company makes a big deal about transparency and patient safety and doing the right thing for patients. But Masimo does not seem to be following it's own advice or doing the things it claims to stand for.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be a hypocrite! Be the company you say you are. Resolve your issues with the FDA and the other legal
    problems with the government. The longer they linger the more Masimo looks like they don't care about the safety of patients.
