    Pros

They put a lot of emphasis on you as an employee to be independent which is a valuable skill to learn for future employment

    Cons

With MCLA being a small school there never seemed to be enough people to help out with tasks. Also they love to use the phrase ‘other duties as assigned’ so you’ll end up doing tasks that are not in your initial job description.

I worked at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This college serves very worthy students and it is the lead employer in the area.

    Cons

The interview process is far from honest. Any non -profit with the top two layers having one person in each - is troublesome. This does not work, especially when one is fearful and one is corrupt. MCLA thinks about the students, parents and faculty last. MCLA is not competitive and they are slowly "circling the drain." Current administrators are brutally treated and have little choice for something else in the area. This gives the top two layers power - at least for now. The Governor of Massachusetts needs to get involved and many of us believe he will. This school costs Massachusetts a lot of money due to serious enrollment issues, weak faculty retention, alumni who remain completely uninterested (and don't donate) and three boards who have given up trying.

    Advice to Management

Look at your President. Look at your Exeutive Vice President. Move them out . Create serious boards and do this for the students and faculty,
