How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

    Pros

Everyone is very friendly here from the top dogs to the environmental services staff, you can expect someone will say hi as you are walking through the halls. My faculty are very supportive and appreciative of the hard work I do. Benefits are amazing and when you are seen by MGH physicians your care is top notch!

    Cons

Likely department dependent, but executive management takes a back seat in the what administration does and can have some double standards by treating people who work for the same department and sit in the same space differently.

    Pros

Adequate work benefits but not great

    Cons

Being a huge and "prestigious" hospital , there is no room for salty negotiation, it's a take it or leave it situation.

    Pros

MGH has decent benefits like health and dental and also lots of perks like subsidized T pass

    Cons

They are non profit so administrative salaries are probably lower than a for profit company

You are paid less than at other hospitals, but you get the name on your resume.
