Great place to work at my location

    Pros

The owner of our franchise treats us like humans who she respects and cares about. She is kind, caring, compassionate and the kind of boss you want. The Manager is new but seems to be willing to work with us and create a good environment. Front Desk people are good to work with.

    Cons

It is a franchise business. So while the owner and manager at my retreat may be amazing, you can't count on it being that way at another retreat. No health insurance

    Pros

    Cons

Pay could be better for part time employees The only way to move up is to have people request you over and over and the customers can be picky and bounce around a lot

Learn to do another skill, massage therapy wont give you enough money to have a good retirement

Jul 27, 2022 - Licensed Massage Therapist in Lees Summit, MO
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Pay was good (if you worked enough), not great Facility was nice Location was good

    Cons

-have to work a ton if you want to make a decent living -meager contests and promotions didn't do anything to motivate us to work harder when we would get not a lot in return -some employees were dumbasses... who should have been fired a lot of times but still managed to keep working there because massage industries don't keep an eye or ear on their therapists enough. -Management was just non existent. The former owner didn't even bother to live in the same state as the retreat, so there was no effort put into making appearances and keeping up with the place. They would just not hire people on purpose so they could save money not having to pay for managers/assistant managers.

    Pros

    Time management control is good.

    Cons

all Massage heights do is their sign. Bad massage therapist's salary. Let the massage therapist work like a robot. And their marketing mode is just cheating on customers. So the market is getting cheaper. clients are getting worse and even tipping. The main reason for this is C.E.O. business philosophy. everyone knows what medicine is sold in Massage heights .Keep working hard for massage therapists. No one understands the hard work and workload of massage therapists. For foreign immigrants massage therapists more hard and pay. No one can understand.
