    Pros

Used a great skincare line, beautiful spa, loyal clientele for the most part, great prices on massages and facials , and its a good part time job or weekend job.

    Cons

Being that I am from New York , I am used to people with stronger work ethics. When I moved to Florida it was a major adjustment for me in a workplace. I worked at massage luxe for the last two years at both locations the one in Lutz and the one in St. Petersburg . My experience working at both locations was for the most part ok , learned alot about the spa business and about people. I thought a few people were complete utter slobs, found myself cleaning up after people a majority of the time.

    Advice to Management

"Advice to management" listen to what the therapists and estheticians have to say chances are they know more about how to a run a spa then you do.

I worked at Massage Luxe part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    My location had good coworkers.
    Benefits of discounted services.
The "monthly deal" that I needed to get people to sign up for was a legitimately good deal, so it was easy to sell with enthusiasm.

    Cons

I wasn't there long enough to really experience cons (I left because I moved to another city)

    Advice to Management

The scripts that we received were good in theory, but didn't present the same way in practice.
The things corporate wanted us to say on the phones/to people when they came in were often wordy and unnatural. Perhaps get feedback/ suggestions from people who actually deal with the public coming in.

    Pros

good start pay-- hard to get a raise with out a promotion in any position

    Cons

Lack of knowledge and upper management are friends with lower management so no getting a problem fixed. If you're not wanted they'll weed you out.

    Advice to Management

It's great you care about who's been there a long time but you should be willing to pay them more in the position that best suits them not bump them to a position they are not qualified because it's their turn for a raise

I have been working at Massage Luxe full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Manager is great to work with, very accommodating and reasonable. This is a franchise so she has a little bit more flexibility in terms of everyday operations and is very receptive to new ideas. Were also very customer centrist which I really like as I feel like we actually care about our clientele, not so much just out to make money.

    Cons

It can be a little boring on slow days, especially during the summer. The computer system can be aggravating.

    Advice to Management

For corporate especially, be more receptive to change and new ideas.

    Pros

    Great guest/member experience.
    Service culture.
    Growing company across United States.

    Cons

Not much upward movement within the company. You can advance to a GM position, but would be hard to move beyond that.

I worked at Massage Luxe (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is a repachage salon so it has great product

    Cons

Hire and fired in 5 days. Absolute waste of a spa. They make you sign a waiver saying that they can fire you without reason and they mean it. Warning to any fresh meat looking to work front desk or be a provider here. They are extremely cliquey and don't give a shoot about providers. Within the 5 days I worked there I saw them shortchange Nehal and overwork two of there massage therapists past the number of massages they said they could do safely. The owner is an absolute crook that is only out to make a quick buck rather than developing the locations she does have. Don't be fooled by the title this is just another massage envy. Front desk and management are all immature little girls aged 19-23 very unprofessional and sneaky.

    Advice to Management

Buy your soul back. Just remember you are just as dispensable as I was karma is a you know what. To the owners this isn't a gas station chain its a spa people will catch on to your games soon enough.
