I worked at Mastercard full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Mastercard is situated in Vadodara Gujarat. The city is super fine to live in itself. Upon this, colleagues are so friendly.
Management is transparent, helping and follow work ethics.
Immense learning opportunity as most of the employees are now more than 5 years of experience, having good knowledge of technologies and project follows Agile, uses latest technologies.
If talking about culture, at my time, they celebrate birthday's every month end with a small snacks party. Celebrate many festivals in a company. Use English, hindi and Gujarati as a mode of communication.

    Cons

Vadodara city is not an IT hub so you will not find many IT companies options there.
If you don't know Gujarati then you will find difficulty to do normal conversation with the colleagues.

Focused Senior Management, they do care for employees
Emile opportunity to grow, one has to take initiative

    Cons

Slow in processes at times, looks like transiting into technology company from financial institution
Middle management is not focused and not in aligned with senior management

    Advice to Management

They should visit location more often, open connect with employees (randomly selected) to know what exactly going, is it in aligned with the vision or something else??

I have been working at Mastercard full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Great work life balance and loads of clubs run by employees efficiently to keep you engaged outside of work - from Hill Walking to Playing Board Games.
    * Global Mobility. You are in Dublin and fancy working for a team in New York, London, Pune, St.Louise, Singapore or Nairobi - it can't be easier as long as you have added value to your team.
    * Genuinely considerate towards staff. Example: 2 months of paternity leave and 1 month of bereavement leave across all locations.
    * Health care for you and your dependants
    * Very good for interns where they are treated very well with promising career aspects.
    * Diversity isn't a joke. It is taken very seriously.
    * Generous bonus plan that comes along with annual review
    * Lateral and upwards career move internally happening all the time
    * Fully sponsored Cornell Tech MBA programme and loads of courses available on internal learning platform for people at all levels
    * Depending on the team the opportunity to work on interesting back end, front end and mobile technologies
    * Ideas and innovation are encouraged all the time by means of short hackathaons to programmes that run and progress through several stages over months - internally known as Idea Box projects. Encouragement to build your ideas on anything new and relevant.

    Cons

    * As other reviewers mentioned at times certain things are overly bureaucratic. As long as you know your way, it isn't too hard to get by.
    * If you happen to have colleagues on both ends of the world your Dublin Day at times will be very busy and long.
    * There are many layers of roles to get the project running. Having people from all those layers aligned is a challenge and that adds to delays.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the initiative to offer more and more hard-to-beat employee benefits.

I worked at Mastercard full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the best companies I've worked for. Great work environment, great growth potential, flexible work hours. In my experience, employees were cared for and taken good care of.

    Cons

Health benefit we're my only complaint. Although, it's not entirely their fault. Most companies were/are not able to provide affordable benefits. A PLUS side to that is the company offered employees money towards their HSA account to help offset.

    Advice to Management

I found management to be open to employees at most levels. Keep having an open mind and ear - many times the added perspective is highly beneficial.
