I have been working at Match Marketing Group

    Pros

The people are amazing. Smart, fun, committed, hard working and fully dedicated to doing the best work possible for our clients and our team members. And our clients are outstanding -- they are true partners and help us drive for success. Match MG has an aggressive but balanced pace. They're an awesome team of professionals who care deeply about doing great work.

    Cons

It is a fast paced, ever-changing industry that offers many challenges. Keeping on top of client needs and industry trends is challenging, but is also very rewarding.

I worked at Match Marketing Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

VERY few...I am struggling to think of anything worth being called a "pro" - Good luck working at this office.

    Cons

TOO MANY. WAY too much drama...upper management/executives DO NOT take criticism well. When their employees voice concerns, they do nothing about it. They sweep things under the rug unless it comes from a client. Favorites are played every day and the blind leads the blind in that office. Credit is not given where due and there is absolutely NO LEADERSHIP. I was disgusted to call myself an employee of that office

    Advice to Management

Take leadership classes or recruit new leaders who can actually make a difference and be a great role model for other employees. When your employees are voicing concerns, LISTEN and TAKE ACTION. It is a concern for a reason. Don't only give credit to upper management - give it where it is due. Chill out - not everything is a 9-1-1 emergency.

I have been working at Match Marketing Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

My time at this agency has given me pretty good experience across a multitude of business applications. This company has been very flexible with positioning me and other committed colleagues where they thrive best, or want to thrive, and doesn't seem to silo employees to specific accounts. I think they know we are most valuable as multi-functional tools, and that mindset has helped me a ton controlling my burnout factor....

    Cons

This is an agency, and most agencies work hard for their clients. This is a career that will quickly develop your skillset but also push your limits. You need to have thick skin and a very strong and driven mentality. You have to be willing to put in what you want back. The job is not for people who want casual work ethic. And you have to understand that with loyalty and time comes more flexibility. Seems like a lot of...

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on the culture as things continue growing and shifting. Maybe get creative with development opportunities and/or new roles. The locale and market are changing and we have a a ton of transplants and competitors, so salary adjustments may be necessary in the future.

    Pros

MatchMG offers unique opportunities with big brands that allow individuals to gain experience and grow in their role. You'll have the opportunity to step out of your shell and take on important roles, like pitching a new business pitch to a big client. Its a work hard, play hard environment. MatchMG goes out of their way to make sure employees dont burn out and can take appropriate time off to enjoy their personal lives....

    Cons

There are sprints throughout the year where the job is tough, a project is demanding, and the travel can be intense, but thats an agency and if you care about the project you are on (because most projects are pretty awesome) you stay motivated easily to get the job done and so does your team. If you work hard and care about your career, you'll be happy here. If you're just trying to sneak by without working that hard,...

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep an eye on workloads for individuals and that workloads are dispersed fairly throughout the agency.

    Pros

Competitive benefits Several high profile clients Promotes from within which gives current employees the drive to better themselves and dedicate themselves 110% Good sense of community

    Cons

Work/life balance for management is difficult to get a handle of in this ever evolving and constant industry. Lack of work/life balance, however, is not company specific as it is more of an industry standard, you see that with any company in the merchandising field.

    Advice to Management

In an industry that is constantly evolving, there could be more training opportunities to help better prepare staff for increased work loads.

Young, fun office. Employees are awesome. Great clients. Nothing else good to say unfortunately. There is a lunchroom... it’s nice....

      Cons

People are too overworked to have any fun. This is across all departments on a constant basis. Traffic around the office is awful.
