I worked at Matheson Tri-Gas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No good reason to work for a company who does not care for their employees.

    Cons

Company cuts corners to achieve results. Violates safety standards on a normal basis. Does not follow regulations in the production of medical gases.

    Advice to Management

Since you don't care about your employees or following safety regulations. Then please submit your resignations.

I worked at Matheson Tri-Gas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's in a great location with plenty of restaurants and shops. The salary is good only PPO Medical.

    Cons

Work 12 plus shifts including weekends for the new. Hours can be much longer, you are partnered with another planner which causes a lot of conflict that's not dealt with. There is an office bully that the manager hear on the floor and does nothing, no team work a negative environment with a high turnover.

    Advice to Management

Fostering team work will probably help first before partnering. Shifts might be a good solution than partnering.

I have been working at Matheson Tri-Gas (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's emoloyment located in a nice building. There are building amenities-not to be confused with Matheson ammenities(none)

    Cons

Under pay market rate. Long hours-everything is considered urgent. Mgmt does not understand work life balance. If you have a family and work here don't exoect to see them much. NO employee perks to maintain motivation. High turn over rate. I witnessed 6 pl leave in 6 months.. Company worsens each yr.

    Advice to Management

CEO-get to know the employees and their names. Question why there is high turn over and work towards correcting the issue.

I worked at Matheson Tri-Gas (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people in the trenches, with decades of experience.
Work life balance is reasonable at most of the branch locations around the country except in Tennessee.

    Cons

    Employees are not valued assets.
Fake concern over quality issues, until there is a customer complaint and it impacts $$.

    Advice to Management

    Pointless to offer any.

    Pros

Home daily, and that was it.

    Cons

Upper management has no clue and no communication, dispatchers are clueless, drive cam, cant talk on bluetooth, slow trucks, if trucks are down it can take a while for the upper management to give the ok to fix, they give you vacation days that arent accrued yet and when you quit they take it from your last check. Managers are micromanagers. The driver morals of the management was horrible.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to be a better manager.

    Pros

You will be employed, you will have insurance, you will be able to keep your skills sharp if this is the type of work you would like to continue doing.

    Cons

Stop and think. You could read 100 good reviews and you could read 100 bad reviews, if Matheson was a professional place of employment would the turnover rate be as high as it is? That speaks for itself. You will not be working with well rounded professional people. Low class and embarrassing.

    Advice to Management

Anyone can write anything here. Matheson will be Matheson. However, Matheson is laughed at by the customers and competition. Get over yourselves.

I worked at Matheson Tri-Gas (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The only thing good about this place was the coworkers were great.

    Cons

Management has no clue, is incompetent, and tries to scapegoat lower employees for their mistakes. The place is incredibly dangerous to work in, having lead to my chronic lifelong illness. Do not under any circumstances work here. They have the habit of hiring ex-cons to run potentially very dangerous processes. Pay is terrible and there is no growth. They often use equipment that is not properly inspected/ updated, that is used to routinely analyze toxic gases leading to many leaks of toxic gases and unnecessary exposures that could affect one's health.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, treat them with the respect they deserve, stop lying to save yourself.

    Pros

There are no pros for this company.

    Cons

The pay is low for the work that they want done. There are many rules that make it hard to do your job, and the working environment is horrible. Avoid this place at all cost. Management is incompetent and does not understand the work of employees.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees fairly and impartially.
