    Advice to Management

Training programs for support staff that are new to the industry

    Pros

The few experienced people left. Benifits aren't to bad... yet

    Cons

    Management, Management, MANAGEMENT!!!

they expect the Best but don't realize to get the best (or keep the best) YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!! instead they hire incompetent, unskilled sorry excuses of people it's like they intentionally look for the dumbest, laziest people they can find. I've put my time (years apon years) and watched this company suck the the life and everything good out of alot of great people and am looking to get out as soon as possible

If you do come to work here DO NOT expect to get a raise ...EVER and lord help you if you have an accident you'll be looking for another job even if it wasn't your fault. But if your an incompetent, sorry excuse of a person or a lazy, souless person you have a great chance to be promoted to management.

    Advice to Management

Pay for the experience you have left the elite few are all that's holding your company together.
You don't seem to realize we can cripple this company regardless of the "non compete agreement" you have In place
    Don't have kids.

I worked at Matheson Tri-Gas full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company is stable and looks out for the employee when writing policies and procedures. They pay well and have a chance for advancement.

    Cons

Management does not adhere to all policies and procedures. They choose to look over things unless they want to hold you accountable. Then they punish one employee while letting another employee get by unscathed for the same situation.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that all of your management get on the same page as your policies and procedures. This system only works if everyone is on the same page.

Great Benefits and Competitive Base. Solid Commission Plan as long as you are over Goal. Our CEO is focused on supporting the Sales Force!

    Cons

Needs to hire more people, a little stretched thin. More paperwork then would like.

    Advice to Management

More support for Site Managers. Focus more Capital to Advertising.

I worked at Matheson Tri-Gas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, overtime pay available, publicly traded strong portfolio company, aggressive sales force Monday through Friday paid holidays

    Cons

Rarely promote within. Have people in charge that have a lack of respect and care for employees below them. Management in charge of employees that have no clue of the employees work load or experience. Ticket operating system is a joke. Lack of training for a lot of positions. You are asked all the time to speak up if you see ways the company can improve quality and safety and when you do your shot down like your a coward. High high turnover rate attrition rate for front line employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop favoring kiss asses. Stop looking down on employees who just might have more experience then you. Stop rewarding the bottom dollar over safety. The company would never admit that but it's so true it's a joke so they overkill the safety meetings, conference calls, etc to hide the fact.

    Pros

benifits are comparable. able to work at own pace for my position. Location and personnel i work with are excellent!

    Cons

very concerned with profit, which is understandable...to many unnecessary charges to customer ie; hazmat charges, transportation and production charge, and delivery charge. unconcerned with the smaller/small town customer. Way to many safety requirements that make doing the job more stressful and cumbersome!

    Advice to Management

Safety first yes! implementing unrealistic requirements that upper management does not have to deal with to complete the mission is making me looking for another job myself! Lookat the small customer paying all those charges, should be dealt with on an individual basis, they all cant afford it. The first line sales person hears about it daily!!!! Kroll needs to retire, and quit worry about making is million dollsar paycheck while the worker bees make peannuts!!!!!
