I worked at Matrix Service full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It gives you a pay check and the following benefits are offered: health benefits, prescription benefits, dental benefits, vision benefits, 401k

    Cons

"Politics" and personal agendas are very abundant at this employer. If you are not part of the "in" group, don't plan on being appreciated

I worked at Matrix Service (Less than a year)

    Pros

Well funded and committed to their view of management. Internally consistent to their vision.

    Cons

No value ascribed to their employees. A harsh, bullying management style which displays little regard for the sensibilities of their workers. No on boarding, little training on internal policies and procedures.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to your shareholders. You do not value respect for the individual employees you have. As well Matrix should move away from the rampant nepotism apparent in their hiring and promotions policies. Matrix should evolve from their small company mentality and embrace modern large construction management practices or sell out to a more progressive firm.

I worked at Matrix Service full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Adequate pay for working long hours.

    Cons

The cons are that this companies management and HR personal have no problem lying to your face and not doing their job just to cover up issues that are happening.

    Advice to Management

Be honest and eliminate the nepotism. Not a good way to conduct business.

    Pros

Was great to have one foreman and one supervisor, then they brought all these new grads with degrees but didn't know crap. Only books smart. It became very hard to work with people cuz I didn't know who my boss was. To many chiefs not enough Indians.

    Cons

Read above! To many bosses and not enough help.

    Pros

There have not been really any true pros with working here yet. I sure hope some come around soon. Starting to feel like exactly what I didn't want.

    Cons

UnExperienced NAC President and it shows. Little direction for operating units. Leadership should be building trust by having boots on the ground. Not spending most time with indirects...

    Advice to Management

    Shared above.

    Pros

The benefits package was terrific. Great paid time off. Also, there are many offices, around the country. They will pay for relocating to another area of the country. Human Resources on the east coast of the country is very helpful and nice to work with.

    Cons

The corporate office is ruthless in aquiring new companies. It is a shame that they will buy out a company with actual intergritiy and lay everyone off and leave a former shell of what the company was. Also, a few employees are very sleezy and have promoted skirt chasers.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Everyone has value in a company.

    Pros

the money makes it worth it and the people are good to be around. can't make this much with out a degree

    Cons

hours are really hard to do no life outside of work. hard to juggle family life and kids daily schedules.

    Advice to Management

we need better benefits for people who have been with the company for a long time. Should not have to start medical over as much as we do.
