Pros
You will meet some nice people
Cons
Computer system is a nightmare. No accountability at the warehouse for non deliveries or screwups. They get paid hourly or per stop so they don't care but you only get paid on what's delivered. New commission structure is awful. They tried to tell us how great the new pay plan was going to be what we all new better. No respect for what we do as sales people. Anybody who has any real sales experience is jumping ship as fast as they can. Management in Texas is totally disconnected from the real hardships its employees are facing in the field. This company will only be left with mediocre people in a few months at the rate it is going. No 401k and pricy benefits while the company throws around money and flaunts it in our face.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts, although I will admit they are difficult to hear, as I have been passionate about making Mattress Firm a great place to work for over 16 years now. However, your concerns are not falling on deaf ears. There is no denying that Mattress Firm has been through its fair share of change recently, and as you've been with us for 5+ years, you've seen much of it. I want to ensure you that each and every decision that our leadership teams make is first and foremost with the goal of improving the lives of our organization's front-line... our sales team members. It sounds as if we still have areas of improvement that you would like to see in order to continue your valued tenure with Mattress Firm. If you would be interested in sharing more, I encourage you to reach out to me directly at 346.718.5308. I look forward to speaking with you soon. -Abby Ludens

Pros
Being a part time employee, I have a consistent (hourly) schedule (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday). I love the people that I work with. They are always very encouraging and try to work as a team. It's nice to be in a happy environment where people care about your well being. (Even our DM is very friendly!) Honestly, I would go full time with this company, but I just started grad school and want to wait a bit before making this commitment. Full time employees have a set salary and can make more money based off of commission. Full time employees also have lots of room to grow in this company. Many young people are getting into this company and finding it to work out very well for them! Best of luck!
Cons
If you're full time, the cons would just be the long retail hours. With that being said, you get your two days off (except maybe holiday time).
