I have been working at Mavenlink full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Mavenlink is in an exciting point of its growth where Enterprise customers get the value proposition and we're seeing large increase in that sector. The company is growing quickly and new opportunities arise all the time. There's good work-life balance and free lunch is actually pretty great.

    Cons

Would be great to see more stock offered to new hires but there is promise of more stock at the end of year performance reviews.

I worked at Mavenlink full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Free lunch - Fantastic product - Heavy emphasis on training

    Cons

    - Compensation is far below industry average. - No equity - No 401k match

    Advice to Management

Sales employees are going to continue leaving for greener pastures if you continue to pay as little as you do.

I worked at Mavenlink full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free Lunch. Some good people have come and gone.

    Cons

Terrible culture with a revolving door of talent and a complete lack of direction. Family run business still trying to be a start-up, and bizarre leadership with a no experience in space.

    Advice to Management

    Figure this out.

I have been working at Mavenlink

    Pros

    1. The work is easy. People will try to tell you it’s challenging, it’s not. So you will have work-life balance and the learning curve is not difficult. 2. Free lunch (although people will still complain about it) 3. Recognizable name in the industry. It is a nice stepping stone to a place you actually want to grow your career. 4. Cool office space.

    Cons

    1. Drama. The place is rotting from the inside with unprofessional people who are constantly looking for drama. You will hear gossip, you will be the gossip.. a bunch of kids who love high school drama. 2. Leadership is lost. There is no direction for the individuals the team or the company 3. There is no professional development. Don’t expect to advance here 4. Benefits? What are those? You won’t find them... here.

    Advice to Management

It’s becoming obvious that you do not genuinely care about your employees. Happy hours and free food is not the answer. The lack of vision is trickling down and the team feels it.

I have been working at Mavenlink full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great team, great product, free lunch daily and they will provide standing desks.

    Cons

On the client services side, managers are promoted based on tenure and if directors like them, not based on ability to manage or people skills. They are provided no management training, and are by far the worst part about this company.

    Advice to Management

Promote people based on actual management skills and ability, and provide management training. Don't promote remote people to management positions for no reason other than them being at the company for a longer period of time.

I have been working at Mavenlink full-time

    Pros

High energy environment that enables you to make an actual impact on the business. People are excited to see what change you can make and welcome feedback. Oh and free lunch everyday doesn't hurt!

    Cons

-Limited flexibility in schedules. -Some people take the free perks for granted... lucky to have a company that gives back to employees!

    Advice to Management

Will need to adapt to changing times and allow for more flexible work schedules. Employees are often commuting in traffic and need the flexibility for a more manageable work/life balance. Other than that, keep up the good work!

I worked at Mavenlink full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free lunch. That is pretty much it. The compensation plan is set but the "figures" they are based on are up for management interpretation.

    Cons

Managers that are trained in the job and not management. Nepotism and favoritism and all levels. Very fake company culture. If you don't play into the bro it up culture, you will be outcast or fired.

    Advice to Management

Quit hiring friends & family. Don't promote friend, promote based on still set.

I worked at Mavenlink full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free lunch and that's about it.

    Cons

Management, culture, training, unrealistic goals and the fact you have to pretend you care about the employees and product, even if you disagree with mandates. You are judged for everything from not working an extra out of overtime to who you associate with after work. Favoritism and nepotism is strong in this company, and will effect how you do business, earn money and the role you play with the company.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring your friends and family. Be more professional, hire qualified people, stop the boiler room sales culture and mind your own business.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Mavenlink full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Friendly, positive people who are always willing to lend a hand - Free lunch every day (Irvine location) & well stocked snack station - Book clubs, philanthropy initiatives, recreational sports and regular happy hours - Empowerment by Executive Management to implement new ideas & processes

    Cons

    - Operational protocols are still being worked through - Gmail for work email (personal dislike) - Lack of offices for Directors and upward (have to book conference rooms for private employee coaching)

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work in driving a positive culture and being accessible for all levels of Mavens. Please help drive more stringent operational protocols, especially those that impact cross-functional teams.
