I have been working at Max Life Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can come and go as you please, no one to tell you what to do.

    Cons

The training program is garbage. I did not have any sort of mentor while I work here. I am in shock at how horrible it is

    Advice to Management

Next time you hire someone who is making 70K+ at his current job and sell him on coming over. Don't lie and say this is what you'll make and promise someone how easy it is, and say they are going to be a financial advisor. First off you are there to sell life insurance, nothing else. I had a very comfortable job and you pulled me away from it. Your training program is terrible, 2 weeks and then have fun!!!!!! DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY

    Pros

Create your own schedule, paid for me to attain financial licenses

    Cons

Exceptionally difficult to succeed, company wants you to use/sell to everyone you know, if you leave the company they will continue to bother your contacts, all about hitting sales numbers with limited guidance

    Pros

Good culture. The training process is extensive, thorough. They understand that the job has a learning curve to it. Excellent supervision. Positive reinforcement is followed. Productivity is always appreciated.

    Cons

The work is travel related and the company does not pay for the cost incurred on business trips which at times amount to 20-30% of the salary. At times, activities aren't aligned with the end goals.

I worked at Max Life Insurance full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You are given enough ability to go make the company $$ but it costs a lot of money to run your office.

    Cons

There are NO ethics. If you are a producer you get special treatment and management will look the other way if there are indescressions. So if you have no morals or ethics the Minnesota general office is the place for you. I was there 11 plus years and gave it all up not to be associated with them anymore

    Advice to Management

It's been given and ignored at the GO level repeatedly.
