Fun environment (it's Maxim), most employees are laid back and easy to get along with, excellent opportunities to carve out your own path and take on/learn new responsibilities that are outside your range of experience.

Very long hours in the office and weekend events = poor work/life balance, no clear direction from management regarding overall brand objectives, personal responsibilities, issues/disputes with internal and external counterparts, building revenue often means sacrificing editorial integrity and employee satisfaction, raises/promotions are far and few between
