I worked at Mayne Pharma full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Cannot think of any. Very terrible experience.

    Cons

Terrible culture. They first fooled you in by over promising you a fast growing rising star company with a family oriented culture. After you get you, you’ll notice that they treat you like garbage. You are literally just like a contractor here. There is neither job stability nor job security. No one in company cares about helping you learn or figuring out a career path for you. They’ll let you go wherever they... run short of money. The company is really lean and shortsighted. They have no strategic plan. The company is sooo lean on anything. They are willing to spend zero penny than anything that can bring direct revenue. You won’t learn anything unless you are brought into the core team. Except for a handful of senior executives, everyone else are just valueless tools. This company is not a responsible employer. Your job stability will be a big issue.

I have been working at Mayne Pharma full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It’s a Job. One good thing about this place is they always have openings and they hire young graduates that need valuable experience.

    Cons

Leadership in most departments have no clue what they are doing and can be nonchalant when issues surface instead of coming up with a resolution in a timely manner. Inconsistent work load for most lab employees. Most get loaded with a ton of work and some have very little to do. Some really good analysts never get challenged to their fullest potential. Company stays behind on work because leadership wastes man... hours with some headcount that can take on more work. Pay is 20% below market for all positions at this company. We understand this is medium sized client based Pharma company working with non-commercial products and the company can’t compete with big Pharma companies pay grades that have mostly commercial products that make great money on the market but the pay scale has to improve if they want to retain competent highly motivated staff.

I have been working at Mayne Pharma part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The relationships you build and people you meet.

    Cons

You don't gain much training here, and the company is unorganized. Compared to other pharma companies the pay is substantially lower. Commercial side is always behind schedule and never catches up. Upper management doesn't make good decisions for the company as a whole. When hired employees don't stay long, so I'm sure the turnover rate is high. They don't hire based on experience, just to fill the position.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees that work there, ask and TAKE advice.

I worked at Mayne Pharma full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Seemed like a decent job for being fresh out of college.

    Cons

Underpaid. Bad laboratory management. Got laughed at when asked other employees about promotions. Hr unhelpful at solving workplace issues. Literally so many people have left because of this particularly bad manager, and HR will do nothing about her or to even help separate people from her when needed. You will never hear the words “thank you” or feel like an important valued employee

    Advice to Management

    bad managers cost good employees

I worked at Mayne Pharma for more than 5 years

    Pros

Facilities are decent, some very good people in middle management and some strong technical scientists and chemists.

    Cons

Long working hours, lip service to 'people are our greatest assets', aging equipment, plant manager/VP who has to be one of the most arrogant people I've ever met (and for truly no good reason).

    Advice to Management

Next time you want to blow up an organization that had been running well, think about what you're doing. For example, are the 'new' ideas and continuous improvements you're trying to implement working at other organizations. Was the organization you're trying to bring similar changes and ideas from a successful one? (in other words, why would anyone try to replace a winning formula with a losing one), can you... tell us the plan for all the changes, as in, how are they going to work. Change is not wrong, but tell us the plan. Change with no plan = disorder
