I have been working at Mayne Pharma full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company is always talking about employees and how to provide tools for growth. It is clear that this company values the people and considers us the most valued asset. Just received an opportunity with advancement and every bit of it was earned by hard work. With the growth and building more structural assets, it is clear that more advancement for employees will be there..

    Cons

It's growing. With growth comes struggles. Some of the least hardest workers makes it tough to work because of the negative attitudes. These employees complain but don't want to work for it. Suggest to management to get rid of those employees. It is clear to me that these employees use sites like this because they can't get an easy way to advance.

    Advice to Management

    Highly recommend

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

Poor scheduling, good employees get treated like garbage, preach work life balance but are huge hypocrites, poor pay, bad morale, etc. DON’T WORK HERE!!!

    Advice to Management

Fire Dean Childers and hire someone who cares about their employees. Compensate your employees!

I worked at Mayne Pharma full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As stated multiple times before, it's a good place to get started in the pharma industry. Gain experience right out of school, like every other chemist they hire.

    Cons

The good employees eventually leave realizing there's far better opportunities with better pay and benefits. The "management" is typically those that just held out and waited for their turn for a promotion, not very good leaders and lack a significant understanding of how to lead. Mayne does not value you as an employee, you're just another number that can be replaced every year with ECU graduation. Generic pharma is not doing well, outlook is not good for Mayne.

    Advice to Management

Invest in leadership training and development, spend money to ensure employees are valued.

I worked at Mayne Pharma (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company looked promising at first. Promises were made about giving respect and receiving it. The introductory period seemed like a good place to work. The pay is not that good compared to other pharmaceuticals but ok.

    Cons

After the introductory period, I realized management had no clue as to what they were doing. This place lacks leadership stemming from the top down to supervision. Promises were broken needless to say and management was very disrespectful. It's a family based business. Seems like everyone is kin or knows each other, so there is no accountability when errors are made. Meetings are circular, talking about the same old stuff with no progress. If you are not in their circle, or a kiss up, you will not last long there. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless they change Directors, Management and some Supervision

    Advice to Management

Resign or step up. Take accountability for your actions and treat employees fair. Eliminate the buddy buddy system and terminate all those not willing to allow the company to grow

    Pros

Potential Growth Opportunities if the Leadership gets their act together.

    Cons

No direction, No communication, No true leadership. Too many chiefs and people stabbing each other for promotions / growth.

    Advice to Management

Establish your agenda and your vision, establish your 1 year / 3 year / 5 year / etc goals and introduce it to the people and let it trickle down. Establish the thresholds for the KPIs and hold people accountable to them. There is no accountability. We sit in meetings and talk the same stuff over and over and over and nothing is done about it. No one believes in what we are doing since the leadership is not being straightforward with us. Be honest to the folks and be straightforward. Do not be all politically correct.

I worked at Mayne Pharma full-time

    Pros

Place to gain a little bit of experience and move on to better jobs elsewhere.

    Cons

Leadership has not proven they are capable of taking the company to the next level. They are sticking to an unproven strategy, rather than adapting and learning from mistakes.

Room for growth is limited unless you work in specific departments. There is a significant imbalance of resources that makes it difficult for the company to run smoothly. As a result, various areas of the company cannot perform to the level required of a competent business. In addition, lots of resources are wasted by bloating specific departments with people, when other departments are struggling to do an adequate job.

The company has a lot of struggles ahead and is a risky place for employment.

    Advice to Management

Understand the organization more holistically to determine where additional resources are needed to develop the infrastructure necessary to run the business.

    Learn from mistakes and adapt.

Lay out a mission and make it clear to employees what they are driving towards by going to work each day.

I have been working at Mayne Pharma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's easy to please the right people and move your way up with little results.

    Cons

Executive Management is lost to the most simple of tasks. No vision for a future and constantly managing the stock price rather than growing a solid company. Pessimistic attitude makes it hard to believe in what you're doing. Huge mistakes made be senior leadership and they have cycled middle management when accountability needs to be addressed at the very top.

    Advice to Management

Executive leadship needs a clean sweep and replaced with some experienced eadership.
