I worked at Mayo Clinic Health System part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Professional environment where you are treated like a person, rather than a number. Good benefits, good working conditions in most departments.

    Cons

Too much middle management and bureaucracy. PTO is plentiful, but not always easy to use. Promotions can depend on who, not what, you know.

    Advice to Management

Take accountability for unpopular decisions, don't just blame it on what 'Mayo in Rochester' is doing. Provide advancement opportunities fairly.

I have been working at Mayo Clinic Health System full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Leadership opportunities are ever growing but there is a lot of bouncing around of techs. Each new manager has a different style but none of them follow the same protocols.

    Cons

Weekends and Holidays are a downfall. The pay for my position isn't that high. There would be great benefit in having weekday only.

    Advice to Management

Move Technical Specialist to Mon- Fri during the daytime hours.
