        Cons

Most jobs were replaced by a new medical records system.

I worked at Mayo Clinic full-time for more than a year

        Pros

A very professional and patient oriented place to work! Their mission statement is “The needs of the patient come first “.

        Cons

In Jacksonville, you have to walk forever from your car to the hospital.

        Advice to Management

Weed out the ones who don’t pull their weight. They drag the truly compassionate ones down.

        Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Mayo Clinic part-time for less than a year

        Pros

        Great reputation as a hospital

        Cons

Thrown to the wolves, promised to be crossed trained in three departments and never was, no support from management when you go to them with complaints about important issues.

        Advice to Management

Step out of your office and work on the floor as a therapist to know what is actually going on!

        StarStarStarStarStar
Former Employee - Medical Laboratory Technologist

I worked at Mayo Clinic full-time

          Pros

Small facility, staff and directors were excellent---really listened to your ideas and helped implement them.

          Cons

A shift of 4 ten hour days vs. 8 hr. with 5 days would provide a better work life balance.
