Not bad while here, but poor termination

      Pros

-For research, a very good work/life balance -great benefits (including a fantastic employee only gym) -

      Cons

-My termination was handled very poorly. I received an email sent to me from Human Resources that my contract was ending, and my bosses had to find out my contract ending from me forwarding my email to them as opposed to them wanting to let me go in the first place. This email was also sent only a few weeks before my last day, which apparently is less time than average for a notice of termination. -OPART is supposed to be the human resources for postdocs. when I emailed them HR related questions, they told me just to contact regular HR. -Parking is Abysmal -

      Pros

Friendly Environment Predictable work hours Needs of the patient come first

      Cons

Polarizing (consulting/doctoral staff are on one end of the spectrum, everyone else is on the other end--this applies to benefits, pay, expectations, and treatment of staff). New CEO is very focused on $$ and some policy changes/enforcement are frustrating and demeaning Working there during the pandemic is frustrating and though they are "reducing risk" they are not creating a "safe work environment" Pay raises are only for cost of living adjustments... you do not get additional pay, credit, etc for going above and beyond. And yet you're expected to go above and beyond while staying within the scope of your job. VERY difficult to move within the organization No parking offered to non-consulting staff Benefits are no longer very valuable as they keep changing for the worse Work-life balance is terrible
