I have been working at Mazik Global full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is my first job out of college. I've got to be honest with you - I would get very nervous even at the thought of becoming a mature lady and working at a company like this. But I have to say that I am loving my job right now as I'm working at Mazik Global. Every day is a new day with so many different things going on at the same time - there is no time for you to get bored. Given the small size of the office, you also get a lot of entrepreneurship out of all the projects you are included in, which certainly boosts my motivation to work harder and better every day. Good place to be a creative and efficient thinker, and a perfect place to learn how to prioritize work the most strategic way possible. Structure-wise, I would say it's got a very flat hierarchy - I can go up to the CEO and VPs almost any time I want to and freely talk about my ideas in such and such projects, expecting them to listen to me and provide me with insightful feedback. Overall, I am learning A LOT from this place - I can feel myself grow bit by bit every day. Excellent place to work for.

    Cons

Given the urgency of all the things happening at the same time, it can become difficult to manage time wisely -- and that can really stress you out. Also I always have to be aware that what Ido can have a tremendous impact on the company itself, so, as an entry level job-seeker, if you're looking for a place where you can only focus on correctly copying and scanning documents and doing only what you are told to do, I would say that this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work - maybe hire more resources for work distribution.

I have been working at Mazik Global full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fair amount of autonomy, possible to learn a lot and shape position if you advocate for yourself

For experienced developers (especially in the offshore offices), there seem to be growth opportunities and better pay

    Cons

Negative office culture, poor organization/management, passive aggressive and condescending top leadership, poor benefits/pay (some employees are compensated heavily, but the handful of female employees make very little and none received raises the past 3 years), strict in-office 8-5 policy (again only for some employees, many are remote and have better experiences because of it), disparate PTO policies (some employees receive as many as 17 additional days off for religious holidays, others receive just 6 holidays and 10 days of PTO)

Less important, but still of note: old office in poor location (near Dempster & 294) and extremely cheap on travel (almost exclusively Spirit Airlines)

    ***Applies to US office only

    Advice to Management

Fair compensation, annual reviews and raises, structured on-boarding and clear job expectations/training, unilateral policies on PTO and in-office requirements, clear reporting structure
