I worked at Mazzone Hospitality full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent pay, free shift meal

    Cons

Management inattentive to employee needs, lack of training, unorganized, poor approach to standards

    Advice to Management

Care more about the future of the employees. Try harder to treat good employees well and remove bad employees. Good employees leave quick and the bad ones are lifers; not good for the future of the company.

I worked at Mazzone Hospitality full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ok pay for a cafe job. You were allowed a free lunch while working.

    Cons

Job wasn't so bad (co-workers were hit or miss) until the manager, decided to call me up one day about a month into the job and say don't come into work...ok...and then the next day and the next day....after she didn't return my calls asking when she wanted me to come back to work I supposed I had been fired, I've never been fired in my life, and never heard from her again. Entirely unprofessional, she has some problems to work out apparently. Funny thing though - she also ran the Jonesville Country Store (now permanently closed - no surprise) and two reviewers left similar remarks as to her "antics".

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the manager. If she can't even talk to customers OR workers without being condescending why is she in this position???

I worked at Mazzone Hospitality part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Thorough training and classes on different alcohols were informative and done well. Sometimes you get to try the features for the night so you know how to sell them better

    Cons

You don't get to leave with credit card tips after each shift. Management clearly plays favorites instead of scheduling and making sections based on skill and ability. Pre-shift meal with old leftover food from events sometimes as much as four days old, often included a healthy dose of beratement and threats to livelihood from management as our meeting.

    Advice to Management

If management were to be trained on professionalism for even half the amount of time servers are trained to serve food and drinks, this place may be able to keep decent employees.
