    Pros

    good cafeteria.
When I first joined, the people around are friendly. But great minds leave the company soon.

    Cons

Intel does not care about Intel Security... so tiny for Intel's profits..
So, very little for career dev, almost no techniques enhancement or improvement.
Not clear strategy for security world, from top to middle.
Always profits is the best policy--which means-- laid-off happens, more and more often

I worked at McAfee (More than a year)

    Pros

Good environment, not a lot of hassle.
Co-workers were hard-working, management mostly was decent.
Reasonable amount of management consulting with employees.

    Cons

Clients who were known to be problems were not dealt with very well.
Training materials were often ludicrously outdated (3-4 versions outdated)!
Contractors, especially after the Intel takeover, treated as less than regular employees.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to your contractors.
Deal with clients when they abuse employees.
    Fix the training materials.
Less contracting, more direct hire. (Trust me, morale will be directly affected.)

I worked at McAfee (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Large company; easy to ride economic downturns. Lots of opportunities internally to move around. Large breadth of technical knowledge within the company; you can always learn something new. I worked in the Host Intrusion Prevention product and the QA support team linked to our group did an outstanding job.

    Cons

There definitely exists the normal slowness associated with fairly large companies. Adoption of iterative development cycles was very slow going while I was there.

    Pros

Great working environment and nice offices. It is a very demanding company. The company provided different bonuses to his employees, and the offices in Dallas arr new.

    Cons

It can be frustrating the fact that there is not much flexibility in the company, and you just have to follow All the different company procedure.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend to provided a little more of freedom to their employees. So that they con contribute with new perspective and ideas

I worked at McAfee full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Customer-oriented security products gives good security value. Good benefits.

    Cons

UI is clunky. User interactions to navigate to features make some features little-used, even if the features themselves would give a good user experience. Main problem is with legacy functionality; contrast this with competitions' features: equally good, but not always as usable. UI is designed more as set-and-forget than interactivity.

    Advice to Management

Consolidate features, add gamification/social aspects (i.e. McAfee Forums) directly to product.
