    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Allegedly there is unlimited time off - good luck using it

    Cons

See headline - management is rigid, doesn't listen, boxed in and excuse oriented when the results aren't there. HR will blindly endorse whatever management does, because - hey, who cares about employment laws!

  3. "Great office and great people overall. Not a place to build your book as a creative however."

I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

We had great benefits, pay and the staff was great to be around. It was a nice place to work but the creative work left a lot to be desired. It was retail heavy and I knew that going in but even within the small box we were allowed to be "creative" in, we always did what the client wanted and never fought for good creative, even if it was a headline.

    Cons

Absent creative director, odd office shape which didn't allow for a "center" of the office. No break room to have lunch.

    I worked at McCann Worldgroup

    Pros

The people were friendly and the social environment was fun, young and very flexible. There were some good perks such as watching movies at Sony Studios and beer Fridays.

    Cons

Workplace advancement route is vague - not clearly outlined. The corporate environment felt stodgy and rigid. There were some signs that the account side is more important than the work from creative.

    I worked at McCann Worldgroup

    Pros

McCann is a great company to work for with room for with a lot of room for advancement. They have a roster of amazing clients=large budgets. That said, there is a lot to be learned when working with a large budget. There are great training programs that the company provides.

    Cons

Entry level pay is not necessarily competitive with other agencies given the amount of overtime that you must work as an entry level employee. Reviews do not always reflect ability and performance. There are occasions where employees are promoted prematurely and are not well trained to manage others, therefore effecting the rest of the group.
