I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relatively decent pay. Really great people. Great location and lots of events/activities to keep employee morale at a good level. Also a bonus that you can bring your dog with you to the office.

    Cons

Too many people with very poor management skills are allowed to thrive here. Being talented isn't always the way to win, having the favor of someone high up in executive leadership is, even if employees are garbage at their job. They also don't have a formal bonus payout process, regardless of how well the agency does (some people get them on the sly here and there).

    Advice to Management

An overhaul of leadership is needed. There are a lot of talented people that make the agency great. Corporate culture embraces diversity and encourages fun, but executive leadership for the agency is sucking the life out of great people. People at the supervisor and VP level who are mediocre at best are able to get promotions and make bad decisions because they're on someone's good side at the higher levels, which talented individuals are kicked to the wayside and presented to leadership as bad employees when they're not. The agency is good, but not great. However it could be with the right leadership. Executive leadership needs to be comfortable admitting they made a bad hire once they realize that people are quitting under certain people's leadership.

I have been working at McCann Worldgroup full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people here are amazing, and the company is doing really well right now. It's a great agency to be at.

    Cons

If you're in account, some teams are "creative ruled" - which basically means the account people have very little say in the creative development process after the brief and before the client see's the work. If you build a strong relationship with your creative team it's fine, but if not - you can easily butt heads when trying to provide feedback.
