I worked at McCann Worldgroup (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary; benefits; nice co-workers; will look good on the resume.

    Cons

Too much of detrimental internal politics; goals and methods can seem contradictory at times, making for a quite disorganized work environment.

    Advice to Management

Apply common sense and things will run much smoother.

I have been working at McCann Worldgroup full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Culture, people and environment is very welcoming.

    Cons

Can become "stagnant" in your career if not careful. Hard to get promoted or get a raise.

    Advice to Management

Instead of hiring outside, promote within.

I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Advertising perks are great. Definitely happy hour every week and Bagel Mondays were awesome.

    Cons

In the San Francisco location almost everyone was friendly however there were quite a few people that had the most egocentric attitudes I have ever seen. It got so bad to where people were quitting left and right. Another con, if clients aren't satisfied then massive layoffs will occur.

    Advice to Management

Most were humble, please keep it up. To some with egocentricity running through their veins may want to rid of it before the agency loses the client and business sinks.

I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Didn't have to work too many long hours as an Account Manager.
Pretty good benefits. Had summer days. Rooftop & space is amazing!

    Cons

Very little company culture. The agency rarely puts on events for everyone to get to know another. When they do, very little turnout.

    Advice to Management

Disconnection among various accounts. Take the time to know your employees & show genuine care.

    Pros

Large company with lots of resources and a broad network to support and advise on just about anything you want to accomplish.

    Cons

It often feels like the company is a little too large to manage itself. As you would expect, politics affects decision making in a company this size.

    Advice to Management

If you're looking to underlings—who don't have experience running a global conglomerate—for advise, you should probably change your approach.

    Pros

Amazing office and a long history make this place quite attractive. Attractive enough to leave other gigs to be honest. Some world class creative come out of the shop overall on SOME accounts.

    Cons

Incredibly click driven and a boys club by all means. Little to NO communication between teams and the leads are egomaniacs and running scared all of the time. Strategy is also ego driven and a bit counterfeit. NO on boarding. You'll be flying blind.

I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Theyve got solid benefits and many great talents. Also a new and clean office space and building with a yoga studio.

    Cons

An alarming number of employees at all levels and seniorities are leaving the agency very quickly. Very political and lots of walls between departments. The agency donest have much momentum due to little new account wins. Leadership is failing to meet their promises to refresh the agency because theyre failing to let go of old, conservative, slow moving clients and are not winning new, fast paced, innovative accounts.

    Advice to Management

If you want to change, let go of the legacy. Invest in your people, and walk away from clients who do not share the same vision of change the agency has.

I have been working at McCann Worldgroup full-time

    Pros

I work with a lot of nice people, and there is a lovely cafe in the office building. The office space is nice even though I don't prefer open offices.

    Cons

Raises are not given out a lot from what I have seen/ know of, nor are there a lot of opportunities for growth. There have been 3 different upper management changes in a short amount of time, which is a bit off putting.

    Advice to Management

Pay a little more attention to Juniors and mid level employees growth and opportunities, instead of brining in new upper management.
