I have been working at McCarthy & Stone full-time

    Pros

North London office is such an easy environment to work in, calm, work gets done and there is good chat.

    Cons

Few car parking spaces, bit annoying parking down the road

    Advice to Management

Speak to everyone, not just the company big dogs

I worked at McCarthy & Stone full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice People and pleasant working environment , facilities are very good, canteen and staff seating area, always helping raise money for charities by arranging various social activities, holiday entitlement is good, minimum 24 +bank holidays, staff bonuses, Christmas parties are good, all paid for 😊

    Cons

Large volumes of work, but not much variety within the job roles, have to rely on other team members to do part of your job, difficult at times if you are used to working for smaller companies to adapt!

    Advice to Management

Must consider giving staff more opportunities to progress within the company, rather than employing external people.

    Pros

Great basic and bonus scheme compared to industry average. Great sick pay and other benefits. Employees are respected and trusted. Great training.

    Cons

Be prepared to move around different sites across your region if in a sales position.

    "Dreadful company - don"

    Pros

Lovely new premises in central Bournemouth - although that means parking is sparse and expensive.
Free selection of tea and coffee.

    Cons

4 managers, a whole call centre and highly skilled graphics team axed in my short but unpleasant time working for McStone. One had over 18yrs company experience.
Colleagues more interested in office politicking than actually performing well.
Shambolic marketing strategy & implementation - more fire-fighting than planning.
Siloed teams lacking any attempt at joined up communications.
Dreadful work/life balance - the only way to succeed is to have no life outside work.
