I worked at McCormick & Company as an intern

    Pros

McCormick is truly focused on creating an inclusive workplace that is always looking to improve. Their employees are always at the center of their decisions. I was surrounded by great people who truly wanted to see me succeed.

    Cons

IT, IT, IT. HORRIBLE IT department. Much of my time at McCormick was spent dealing with ridiculous issues with the IT department. It is a well known pain point amongst employees. As innovation-driven as they are, they really fall short with technology and technical support.

    Advice to Management

    Fix the IT department ASAP!

I worked at McCormick & Company full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

By and large McCormick employees are hard working and committed to the company. The company treats employees well with a great range of benefits. Importantly, leaders are down to earth and accessible to all levels of employees. Also, McCormick has a product portfolio that employees can be proud of.

    Cons

People can be slow to make decisions, too often waiting for all to "buy in." The company needs to build on its legacy of employee friendly environment and be more innovative for the times.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget one of the company's mottos that "the employee on the job knows best how to get it done." Often the smartest people are on your team and not the high priced consultants from out of town.
