    I worked at McCormick & Company full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Feels like a family ran business, hard work, good ideas pay off.

    Cons

    Very political company, sometimes felt like a good old boys club. Who you knew definitely paid off in promotions.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on building brands that can carry company to new positions at retail. Evaluate employees on merit.

    If you are into cheating and or stealing it is a great place to work

    almost every aspect; no infrastructure, no professionalism, and a complete lack of understanding about why the business exists; which is to sell product.

    Start looking for new jobs the parent company will fire you if things remain unchanged orget worse

    Pros

    Opportunity to learn and grow as an employee with room for advancement if you "fit' the norm. Company values are spoken continuously but not always followed. Compensation is good if you stick with it.

    Cons

    Upper management has bogged down the company in analysis paralysis. The accounting teams are now running the sales functions with answers to opportunities long gone by the time you need them. No trust among employees of management as of recently. New hires do not have a compensation plan to compare job offers as management will not publish and HR has no backbone to demand it.     Advice to Management

    Simplify the business and get the accountants back to where they belong. It's after all a people business and you have the wrong people running it.
