    Pros

Complaints to corporate handled in a timely fashion. We had a manager who was verbally abusive and a sexual harasser. When someone finally complained to upper management, they were there within a day and he was gone by the end of the week.

    Cons

Food quality has gone down. They use to bring in over 40 species of seafood every day; now, it's just five and everything else is frozen. And they are obsessed with everyone selling Landry's loyalty cards! After I left another employee told me that they wanted you to sell like 5 a day!!!

  5. "Horrible management"

    Pros

There is opportunity to make decent money if you work during the busy season.

    Cons

There is poor management, they need to provide them with more training to deal with employees respectfully

    Advice to Management

    Provide better training

    Pros

Standardized, corporate training was to my benefit as I was breaking into the service industry
Coworkers behind the bar were friendly, helpful, patient, reliable and fun

    Cons

Though 2/3 managers genuinely wanted to be good superiors, the pressure on them from above was often too intense to follow through

    Advice to Management

Leap from the sinking ship & swim

I worked at McCormick & Schmick's (More than a year)

    Pros

They were flexible in allowing me to work different positions. Bartender one day, banquets an other, server here and there.

    Cons

Very corporate. Extremely strict guidelines on how to do things. Ex: proper way to serve, proper way to mix drinks

    I worked at McCormick & Schmick's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I learned a lot the first few years about great food and drink and had the opportunity to meet some very good, interesting people.

    Cons

Corporate takeover sucked out the soul. They treat all employees like criminals. We had to pay a monthly fee to get a discount on limited food items. The quality of the food dropped and the prices went up. Their rewards program is a scam.

    Advice to Management

    Kill yourself.
