I worked at McDonald Technologies International as a contractor

    Pros

This is a good little company that has high quality projects. It is small enough that you can know all of the significant players on a personal basis.

    Cons

Not too many cons. Other than the occasional personality clash. But nothing significant.

    Advice to Management

None. Sorry. I wasn't there long enough.

I have been working at McDonald Technologies International full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Laid back and easy going culture. Great people working there! A lot of the people have been there for quite a long time.

    Cons

As with manufacturing, sometimes things are really busy and sometimes things are not. When things slow down personnel sometimes gets cut.

    Advice to Management

Try not to overload individuals with responsibilities when personnel cuts happen. Things need to get done, but there is only so much time in the day....

I worked at McDonald Technologies International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have never worked with a better group of people as with McDonald Technologies. The greatly varying types of projects and industries supported created an environment that kept me challenged and excited about what I was working on. I was able to wear lots of hats and learned a lot.

    Cons

McDonald Technologies is a medium size company that is susceptible to fluctuations in the economy and has to scale their workforce accordingly.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. The biggest sell for working with this company is the work environment.

I worked at McDonald Technologies International full-time

    Pros

    - Flexibility with schedules for shop workers
    - People are nice

    Cons

    Short Answer: Stay away!

    Long Answer:
    - No culture
    - Slow production
    - Needs to update machinery
    - Broke company, if you want anything done you need to buy it yourself and there's a good chance you will not get compensated
    - People are bitter
    - Did I say the process to get anything done is convoluted? Well, it is because you have employees working multiple roles with small budgets and they are overworked.
    - Salary employees get screwed since there is no compensation.
    - 40 hour salary work? No, 45 hours
    - No and hardly any promotion room
    - Low pay
    - Too many roles given to each role
    - Working their employees into the ground
    - Expensive insurance
    - Higher positions are overworked
    - No overtime for salary workers
    - Old equipment and machines, stuck in the 1980s - 1990s

    Advice to Management

Allow business development to make the moves they need to, allocate more budget to them - they are there to improve the business model, and take the risk to speak to the parent company for help.
Listen to employees and compensate them more for their time. Lastly, it is time to upgrade
