    Pros

    Cooperative work environment. Innovative Facility. Important focus on trainees (guidance, support and activities). Multiple Funding opportunities internally or with associated university (McGill).

    Cons

    Pay is not great, but that is more reflective on PhD stipends in Quebec and throughout Canada. Hours can be difficult but that varies according to the lab, the project and the student's time management.

    Benefits and a clean work environment. Great Union for any problems you may have.

    Cons

    Little cons. Doctors and patients may be rude to you but that comes with most public sector jobs.
