    Pros

Good benefits, most managers are fairly flexible, summer hours! Pretty good commission opportunity if you have a fair goal. Salary could be better.

    Cons

Never have company hosted events for employees or families. Some managers are still old school while company is trying to evolve.

I worked at McGraw-Hill Education as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers and managers are very down to earth and always willing to help their employees
    Working from home options
    Good pay
Management is always looking for new technology and listen to their employees

    Cons

Noting much except since the education side split from the financial side and got sold over to a company in boston, everything is moving toward to Boston and not much work going on in New York.

    Pros

Good benefits, interesting work. The management seems to have our back, which is nice. Fast paced office which is also a plus

    Cons

Some of the vendors we work with are a bit difficult. Also wish that the office space had a bit more natural light

    Advice to Management

Continue to ask for staff input

I worked at McGraw-Hill Education full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Job security, nice offices, wonderful people, excellent cafeteria!

    Cons

Corporate speak abounds! Constant "pivot" and "nimble" words flung about. Also, too many managers, not enough workers.

    Advice to Management

There should be fewer layers - the whole corporation is top heavy with managers. Back when I started, it was like this and it collapsed in the recession. It's heading that way again.

I worked at McGraw-Hill Education as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very relaxed environment and everyone was super helpful. Great place to go to work every day.

    Cons

The internship program wasn't incredibly well-organized; I mostly picked up odds and ends of projects that full-time workers were too busy to get to.

    Advice to Management

Put all interns together on a project of some strategic importance to the company. This will help you identify talent as well as helping you get more out of your interns.
