    Pros

Good benefits. Good coworkers. Most recent hires in senior management are real, down-to-earth people. End result of our work is helping students learn and do well in college.

    Cons

Often not a clear career path. Big ship, slow to turn.

I worked at McGraw-Hill Education full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most of the people are fantastic, smart, dedicated and passionate about what they do and have Education at the forefront of their mind. You can learn quite a bit f on your colleagues.

    Cons

Sold part of the Company to DRC. The President was unable to stand up for her people against MHE HR. The DRC Exec team is short sided and arrogant. Not to be trusted, they rule by fear of the Owner. They over promise to Customer and then blame customer infrastructure for the fail.

    Advice to Management

Stop and listen to the SME's you have before you make promises to customers that you cannot keep. If someone is doing a great job, tell them.

    I worked at McGraw-Hill Education full-time

    Pros

MHE, since it's split from The McGraw-Hill Companies, has really grown into a well-run company. There were growing pains at first, but they were caught and remedied quickly. Work-life balance is respected and the office culture is a good balance of fun and getting things done. Management works with everyone to ensure things are moving smoothly and that employee engagement and morale is high.

    Cons

The biggest con is that there's too much process. You spend half your time on process rather than the actual work that needs to be done.

    Advice to Management

Keep being honest and transparent to the employees. This is greatly appreciated.

    Pros

Nice people, plenty to do, lots of opportunities to fix and improve things

    Cons

Super introverted employees, many legacy employees won't learn how to do new things or share their knowledge
