    Pros

Great company to work for, good products.

    Cons

Closed their San Francisco plant, to costly to operate in San Francisco.

    Advice to Management

You should have dismissed all the production people that should have been retired.

-All team members are friendly and helpful.
-Great new office space and location
-Passionate team and leader with great ideas and vision.

    Cons

-Parent company is disconnected and tries to support team remotely. This can create delays and leaves team stranded at times.
-Production team is no longer in SF which can make communication and planning challenging.
-Replacing and hiring of personnel not fast enough which leaves employees additional work and duties in the interim.

I worked at McGuire Furniture Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Face to face time with all management due to the small company. Know all co-workers and work closely with every one.

    Cons

Roles are blurred due to turn over and small departments. Never sure who is responsible for which tasks.

    Advice to Management

If you want less turn over, hire more people up front. If employees are overwhelmed they will leave because they feel under appreciated.

    Pros

Great Health Benefits and Supportive Team

    Cons

The opportunity to advance or make a good living for those not part of the top team, is a bit tough. Although advancement is an option, it is a long process to get there.

    Advice to Management

The Management Team is currently very strong. With the proper goals and focus in place, McGuire will be set up for success.

    Pros

One of the best companies in terms of designs, and very much a team oriented company.

    Cons

In the midst of changing direction, so things can be a bit messy. But I can definitely see a big and warm success coming soon.
