    Pros

Flexible company permitting work from home. Peers are very helpful and willing to jump in when needed. They understand the need for teamwork.

    Cons

Lack of corporate direction, leadership and eroded customer base. Customers understand the new software is not the quality it once was. It's hard to constantly work around major issues and missed software dates or features. Always felt like I was lying at the end of my time with the org.

    Advice to Management

Sell the HIT business and move on. Stick with the pharma business which you do extremely well.

    Pros

Loved the ability to work from home, high level of respect and professionalism. My co-workers were wonderful.

    Cons

Never developed a sense of the culture, and CEO stated at a public meeting that he hoped people would value their time at McKesson and could take their skills to wherever they landed next, so no commitment to build your career, just come in and do your job. More like a culture of contractors.

    Advice to Management

If you want to increase retention, work on developing a sense of culture and commitment to the employees. If retention is not a priority, then the culture is perfect and very pleasant.

    I worked at McKesson full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, good paid time off after 5 years, great co-workers, flexibility to work from home and at alternate locations.

    Cons

Layoffs every year and not given the opportunity to move within the company. Constant management changes, 5 different managers/directors and VP's in 5 years.

    Advice to Management

Need to hire management that understands software.

I worked at McKesson (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good experience working for mckesson

    Cons

There are some few favorites who are placed elsewhere when there are lay-offs. The company maintains to be one of the fortune 500 company mainly due to very frequent mass lay-offs rather than quick innovation. Mckesson does not care about Loyalty, hard work and other core values.

    Advice to Management

    Play fair.
