    Pros

Lots of good Pros for working with a big company, good benefits & resources, relatively stable job, and opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Some of the employees are not passionate about what they do, so lack of motivation. Being a larger company its slower to get things done.

    Advice to Management

Try harder to engage & develop your in lower level + mid level employees.

I worked at McKesson full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I loved working at McKesson, mainly because I had an amazing boss. Other departments weren't as lucky as mine. We were able to work from home once a week, which was wonderful. It was a challenging, yet rewarding job and my boss always looked out for our group.

    Cons

It could be very corporate and layoffs were constant. The sales numbers were decreasing in the last years I worked there and the general attitude became very depressing.

    Advice to Management

Upper management compensation and bonuses were amazingly disproportionate to the workers. It was very frustrating to see Hammergren get millions in bonuses and then be told the company couldn't give us adequate raises despite excellent performance and ratings.

I worked at McKesson full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There are no good reasons anymore :-(

    Cons

We are just training off shore workers to take our jobs as we get laid off in waves.

    Advice to Management

Reward and retain good people, be honest with your teams, and PUT THINGS IN WRITTING!

    Pros

Large company with lots of growth potential

    Cons

McKesson is a tough company to work for, we are always changing and re very busy. I have had 3 different managers in the past year, and we have gone through many employee reductions in my 18 years.

    Advice to Management

The goal and objectives for McKesson needs to be laid out better, and they must become more stable or they will run into challenges.

I worked at McKesson (More than a year)

    Pros

Great culture and people. Alpharetta location is a convenient commute.

    Cons

Poor direction. Placed more value in medical industry knowledge than knowledge/ability in building software.

    Advice to Management

Doctors do not necessarily make good Product Managers and Registered Nurses do not necessarily make good Product Owners/Business Analysts.
