I worked at McKissack & McKissack full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

McKissack and McKissack is a very beneficial company to work for. Upper management is very understanding and has an open door policy. The projects I'd worked on we're diverse and full of different learning opportunities.

    Cons

I had no bad experiences at McKissack and McKissack. They treat their employees like family and had ample opportunities to grow and learn from the best.

    Advice to Management

The only advise I would give is to create more company morale and activities amongst every office throughout the nation. Other than that, one of the best companies I worked for.

    Pros

The people at McKissack seemed to care a lot about each employee. There was a good sense of community among the employees, lower tier of managers and administration.

    Cons

The upper management, VPs, and CEO seem very disorganized and disconnected. They seemed more focused on expansion and outward image and were less focused on day-to-day efficiency, company morale and providing a structure that allows employees to grow at their careers.

    Advice to Management

Focus on improving the company as it currently is. Consider that the greatest problems may be at the VP level.

I have been working at McKissack & McKissack full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some great people, ability to suggest and implement your own ideas/new initiatives, involved with some interesting projects. The company has great potential but needs the right people to run it.

    Cons

Serious lack of communication from upper management on down. Expected to work overtime and weekends with little or no compensation. The company has overly ambitious goals to grow without addressing current issues. Recent hiring decisions don't seem to fit the needs of the company.

    Advice to Management

Focus on fixing what exists before trying to expand. Everything needs to be made more efficient and VPs need to learn how to time manage their own work before criticizing those beneath them.
