Company has some management issues like all large companies. Management tries to be helpful but is ultimately not in touch with day to day activity, or the real world in general

    Pros

Great people at the local level.

    Cons

Upward mobility is nonexistant. Raises are not 2-3% . That barely keeps up with inflation.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at McLane Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

none. run away from this place

    Cons

One of the most toxic workplaces at have ever worked. In addition to toxic leadership, its abusive and exploitive work environment will run you into the ground. It's a sweatshop. Expect to work 60 plus hours a week. 15 hour shifts are not uncommon. Your hourly workers will make more money than you on salary. Frequent age discrimination. Backstabbing from other managers who will through you under the bus rather than work with you. I saw illegal directives sent by email directing supervisors to work employees on their breaks. OSHA rules seldom followed. Maintenance is a joke. Extremely high turnover due to backbreaking work and sweatshop hours. They will work you until exhaustion and extract every last ounce of energy from you. Salaried employees are cheated out of fair pay this way. I spent almost two years there on two different shifts.... absolute misery...
