    Advice to Management

Turn the trucks up to 70mph which is the speed limit in most states.31years experience as a driver.a driver sometimes knows more than over educated idiots that have never been in a truck.

I have been working at McLane Foodservice full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

The hours aren't bad if you want first shoft but have to work weekends.

      Cons

Work weekends/holidays. Pay is not good for what your expected to do. The company does not care about it's employees unless you're a driver. They really don't care for them much either but because there is a driver shortage they give them anything they ask for including all kinds of bonus pay.

      Advice to Management

At least pretend to care about your employees a little bit. Treat everyone fair. Certain people get lots of special treatment and aren't expected to do much of anything and others are treated poorly and have very high expectations.

I worked at McLane Foodservice full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Hour lunch break if you don't want a longer than 30 min break.

      Cons

The entire DC, management, favoritism, not enough work to do.

      Advice to Management

Start over. Clean the house with all the managers and get managers who actually care. The managers needs to start going by the policy. For the most part don't do it. This is a terrible place to work, even if your life depended on it. Rude and unprofessional would be considered an understatement for this place. Management is terrible. Half the people who work there do not stand for McLane values whatsoever. The Christian...

I worked at McLane Foodservice full-time

      Pros

It's a job. They sometimes give you food.

      Cons

This is a horrible company, they expect employees to work at least 70 hours a week. Don't even think about working there if you have a life outside of work. Everyone is negative and no one seems to know what is really supposed to happen. It's like they just go from one day to the next dealing with problems instead of trying to fix issues. Employees are treated like property. They would change people's schedules in an...

      Advice to Management

Get a real plan of action, don't just try to wing it. Take the advice from some of the smart employees. Change the terrible slave-master culture right away. It's a new day and drivers won't continue to put up with it as you undoubtedly have already seen. Band-aids don't work.
