    Good learning place to start as a new nurse. Good PTO time and a nice retirement package.

    Cons

    Low starting wages at Oakland campus, short staffed 50% of the time.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more staff, wages comparable to other hospitals.

    Loved the teamwork between my nurses and other aides!

    Cons

    The management was horrible!! Had unrealistic expectations, more yelling at vs. Productive meetings.

    Take your fellow employees thoughts into consideration. We are your eyes and ears.

    Pros

    The doctors are great to their patients.

    Cons

    Never noticed when you go above and beyond for your patients. No one listens to your ideas or asks for your opinion about your job. Overworked,overwhelmed and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

    Stand in our shoes for a whole day and see what it takes to make the patients and the doctors happy. I guarantee that you wont make it. No time to sit down. Missing out on breaks and sometimes never even getting a lunch.

    You get to learn about hospital equipment and what it is used for. Diverse and new everyday

    Cons

    Backorders, clinicians wants items off contract. Employee interaction. Receivers on the sick need to keep better track of what comes in and what goes out.

    Have physicians follow contacted materials and
     standardize items

    Union, Excellent pay, flexible schedule

    Cons

    Poor management/co-worker communication, physician interaction and knowledge, lacking patient care,

    Advice to Management

    Better communication is needed from the administration to employees on all shifts and better adherence to the union contract. Physicians need to be more accessible and knowledgable. It is clear that money and not patient care are their top priority.
