I worked at Measurement Incorporated full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Work/life balance PTO Flexible resumption time Work from home

    Cons

Crappy culture or better still no culture at all. Extremely laid back to the point of losing contracts. No career path

    Advice to Management

Management should rise up and change the current culture. There are way too many employees doing the jobs that a few employees could do. Create or review all job descriptions to ensure that employees are adequately engaged.

I have been working at Measurement Incorporated full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

A lot of PTO, flexible schedule.

    Cons

Constantly scared of being laid off, or that the company is downright just going out of business. No raises in years and years.

    Advice to Management

Explain what is really going on to your employees, stop lying that every round of layoffs is the last one, everyone you talk to in the company is already looking for another job. For a company that promised profit sharing as a hiring incentive, all the real estate around us must be doing great, because it sounds like you're going to close the education assessment portion soon, and most of us are absolutely terrified...

I worked at Measurement Incorporated part-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Casual dress code Good colleagues Part of an industry that could make a difference.

    Cons

Mistreatment of employees No pay increase in years Lack of direction

    Advice to Management

23 years ago I went to work here as a temporary employee. I eventually worked my way up to a permanent position and had managed and administered a program that was an important part of what MI did for the past 14 years. Two years ago I agreed to give up all of my benefits and take a 40% pay cut in order to work from home. I continued to provide great service to the client and routinely worked more hours than I was...

I worked at Measurement Incorporated full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

-PTO, 26 days for all full time employees, hard to beat. -Work life balance is awesome, never had an issue getting PTO approved. -Friendly environment and coworkers. -Company is trying to improve, after losing a huge contract and many layoffs, it appears they're on the upswing and trying to do better, communication in particular, there was a big company wide meeting about all the improvements they're going to make....

    Cons

-Pay is low compared to the rest of the market, no yearly increases/bonuses (apparently these stopped even before I was hired), no 401k matching. -Lots of layoffs in the last 2 years. And in turn, lots of people leaving. Layoffs are handled in the most unprofessional way I can think of. No notice or warning, and calling people in 1 by 1 to give them their pink slip? Do you have any idea how nerve wrecking that is to...

    Advice to Management

I understand everything the company is trying to do to improve. But it may be too little too late. Folks are not going to hang around for pay increases or bonuses that may or may not happen, many of your employees are concerned if the company will even be around in 2 years. The bad publicity and reputation surrounding this company may be too crippling to recover from, a simple google search on the company name reveals...

    Pros

Free health insurance and paid time off. Located in the heart of the warehouse district and you get free parking.

    Cons

So many layoffs over the last year. The company is scrambling to make money as they close sites around the country and try to rent their empty buildings to make up for all the money lost. There are no raises and no real appreciation for their employees that have been loyal. Basically, your compensation is to keep your job. If you are into working for the white boys club and love to golf, then this is the place to...

    Advice to Management

Work on letting females into upper management and realize what world you live in now. Your archaic attitudes are preventing the company from thriving in the modern world.

Pay people what they are worth. You require a degree, yet I can make more at Home Depot.

    "Terrible"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Durham, NC

I have been working at Measurement Incorporated full-time

      Pros

The benefits package is pretty good. No employee contribution for health insurance. Overtime is very rare. If you need to leave a little early now and then it's not a problem.

      Cons

There are so many negatives that it's hard to know where to start. Management lies over and over to us. They have been laying off staff every couple of months for about 2 years now. Each time we hear that these are the only cutbacks needed. Then two months later they let go a few more people and we are told the same thing. There is no friendly way to fire someone, but having someone from HR and someone from management...

      Advice to Management

Treat people better. At least give employees a chance to say goodbye to coworkers. Don't embarrass people by escorting them out in front of everyone like they are a criminal.
