I have been working at Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you make friends with the family members you don't have to work and have a job for a couple months

    Cons

There is no structure, everyone runs around being a manager because they're friends of the CEOs family. The management does know anything about the business or employees. Anyone who had any work ethic and business experience has quit or got fired in order to keep the 5k a week salaries for the family members of the CEO who don't come into work

    Advice to Management

    Close down.

I worked at Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary was reasonable for a phone room sales position. The new office was also nice.

    Cons

The old office had a great family atmosphere and the company truly cared for employees. Once they moved to the new office they turned into a strict corporate enviorment. Employees went from human beings to slaves with very petty rules against employees. The greed and poor decisions allowed the company to go from several hundred to down to less then one hundred

    Advice to Management

Danny porush should of never been involved. He caused way too much controversy with his wolf of wall Street ties. You lost your Medicare contract which was your bread and butter.

    Pros

    Competitve pay, casual work environment.

    Cons

Where to begin... To put it bluntly, if you're part of the family, or friends with the family, went to school with someone in the family, or are dating or have dated someone in the family or who is friends with the family....you can sit around and do nothing and make ridiculous money.

If you're NOT..you can work extremely hard, make lots of money for the family and then be let go..so that said above people can keep their jobs doing nothing and continue making ridiculous money.

The owners...and their family and friends club are super greedy with no conscience whatsoever. Not quite sure how they sleep at night. Can't wait to get out.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so greedy and have SOME semblance of regard for other human beings.

I have been working at Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you love helping the patients and being on the phone all day it's the place to be, flexible schedule after working there for years, learned a lot in different practices and programs.

    Cons

Lots of fake people and back stabbing, you can't trust anyone but when I said anyone it's anyone, also for a long time when they used to pay commissions they did not pay me the commissions I was supposed to receive and was promised, the future of the company it's uncertain because they have some immature, with no education trying to run the company instead of letting go to all the smart and hardworking group they used to have there who could do anything for them.

    Advice to Management

Be smart about the people you are keeping with you, don't let the wrong people advice who you fire or not, got rid of the best you had there

    Pros

Staff supervisors are completely accessible for any questions or concerns. Hours are flexible and great company benefits. Pay scale is above average.

    Cons

Need more employees for client coverage. A longer training period would be helpful. Phone coverage need some fine tuning. The parking is not ideal.

I have been working at Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fexible hours and an array of empty desks and computer monitors for your choosing. Med-Care went from almost 600 employess in April of 2015 to now barely 200. If you're part of the family, that's a definite pro for you.

    Cons

Budget cuts. No raises. No benefits. No 401k. No Paid time off accrual policy. No respect. No correct identification of what your actual job title is because it could change in 2 hours. The company did a 10% company wide budget cut (which did not really include everyone in the company, only certain people) after not being able to pay the employee's health insurance. They "forgot" to mention this to the employees and some went to the DR and had to pay out of pocket. Of course it got resolved once someone found out. The last 30 days at this establishment have been the worst I've seen in years. The owners are firing people that are actually trying to make them money and keep the company afloat while letting their family or close friends, that do not generate any money & do nothing all day, keep their high salary jobs. Time after time they have continued to tell their employees that everything is great. Never fails that after one of these "motivating" speeches, about 30 people get fired the next day. I've been at this company for 6+ years & from the panic, scared and uncertain looks the owners have on their faces as I'm walking the halls, trying to stay busy for the time being, you can tell this company is a sinking ship. You either jump ship while you still have time or grab on to a cubicle to use as a floating device.

    Advice to Management

Get your company together. I doubt it will be here in 4 to 6 months but if you do happen to make it. Do it right. Follow Medicare & HIPAA guidelines. Be honest & put an end to the nepotism that lingers the halls of your company.

I worked at Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The place is still operating -AND- If you like to daydream about: How great it was to work there before they moved us to the new Concentration Camp they had built to fit over 750 slave driven employees instead of 150 when they first started or, before the time that the FBI raided the place or, the good times when they actually paid you the money you earned or, not being forced every other week to watch your BFFcoworkers get the axe after being promised the day before that they weren't getting fired or, the times before having 3/4th's of your salary cut and hours doubled and being transferred back to an entry level position after being there for over 3 years... Well then it's a blessing to be there!

    Cons

WOW!!! So many to tick off the list where should I begin? OH OH I know... Having to remember to raise your hand to go to the bathroom or get scolded by mgt, or spending time in a cafeteria ( total capacity 100) with all 760 employees sharing the same mandated 1/2 hour lunch period and dodging to get use of
one of 2 microwave ovens all within 30 minutes or missing that opportunity all together and not eating the whole rest of the day, or being forced by mgt to lie to your customer base by telling them we are still licensed by the government months after losing the rights to sell under that health care administration and being forced by mgt to be complient with your job description
In other words you must follow the script VERBATIM by being completely deceptive regarding all other low cost /1000% markup items your forced to push out the door, or the minute you walk in the door lining up single file to use the time clock wher everyone must punch in at exactly 8:00am but must wait till the clock stricks 7:56 or get reprimanded, this and soOoOOoo much more can be all yours when your ready to lose your mind and your soul!

    Advice to Management

Seriously! What can you say and who do you say it to? All management below family members (AKA Senior Mgt) are mere puppets doing the best they can to survive as well. And who's got the nerve to to go head to head and tell the real life Wolf of Wall Street (That would be Danny, the owner) how to run his business? Note to CEO: Go back to basics address and correct all the wrongs thats happening all around you so that you can run an honest business you can be proud of.
