I worked at Med-Trans full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good PTO and benefits.

    Cons

Gossip. Upper management makes employees feel belittled.

    Advice to Management

Pay and treat your people better and you wouldn’t have such a big turnover. Dedicated people make companies better

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Med-Trans full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Family oriented culture that is not overly bureaucratic. Human Resource issues get fixed very quickly. Pay is quite fair for the industry and they have no issues paying overtime when it is required.

    Cons

Being a fast growing company, there are sometimes things that come up without a designated person to handle it until they find someone.

    Advice to Management

    Nothing yet.

      No opinion of CEO

I worked at Med-Trans full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

      Equipment is up to date.

      Cons

Do what’s right, until the “partners...err, customers complain”!

      Advice to Management

Support the decisions low level management makes. Pilots are expendable as long as hospitals and their staff claim to own an operating certificate. Eat your own is not a good business model!

I have been working at Med-Trans full-time for less than a year

      Pros

So far, everyone from the President down to the recruiter has treated me like a valuable member of the team, not just a cog in the machine.

      Cons

Few rotary wing opportunities in the midwest.

      Advice to Management

My only advice would be to ensure base area managers receive or already have some sort of leadership training. Although they are supposed to be "managers" they end up taking on a leadership roll by default.

I worked at Med-Trans full-time for less than a year

      Pros

You have a job The other com-specs are wonderful people to work with. Those who stay, stay out of loyalty to their jobs, not the company.

      Cons

Employees Quit because there are unappreciated. There is zero communication in the com center. Retention rate is very low. Supervisors have no training. There is no onboarding process for new hires. Management has zero direction and continues to add more work. Their comm-specs are never appreciated, and pay is poor (18$ - 25$(Max)). The administration does not consider comm specs for company functions. Decisions...

      Pros

There used to be a handful of pros but Management has removed those.

      Cons

Long Hours. Low Pay. Unqualified Senior Leadership. Lack of basic understanding of business principles from top to bottom. Mistreatment of employees. Disrespectful and uneducated leadership. Lack of understanding between hybrid versus community models. Silos (Business, Clinical, Maintenance, Aviaton) DO NOT talk. Basic departments like Accounting, Payroll, Benefits are extremely hard to deal and rude. Large emphasis...

      Advice to Management

Quit hiring former Air Methods employees, their management styles are overtaking what Med-Trans used to stand for. Quit purchasing companies and inbreeding leadership. Stop mistreatment of employees. Management needs to get their hands dirty and understand the industry they are in. STOP THE NEPOTISM!
