    Pros

The people at MedAire and its parent company ISOS are some of the most diverse, experienced, passionate and amazing people I have worked with. Such an international culture. The mission and industry of commercial aviation, corporate aviation and luxury yachting is dynamic and very interesting.

    Cons

Work life balance could be improved for middle management who work hard to keep up with such a dynamic international environment.

    Advice to Management

Continue to drive the innovation and technology agenda.

    Pros

Job involves helping people which really makes a difference when coming to work every day. Have the opportunity daily to touch someone's life

    Cons

Disconnect between departments - higher management makes decision from ivory tower and does not understand impact of those decisions to front line staff

    Pros

MedAire is a company that truly offers its employees a workplace environment where they can contribute ideas to the organization and feel that they are making a difference. Opportunities for advancement and professional growth are abundant and supported by management. Employee recognition, both formal and informal, is a fairly regular occurrence at this office. The people are really what makes this company a great place to work.

    Cons

Along with the good fortune of being a busy, successful company, comes the workload needed to support that growth. There is no doubt that employees put in a solid day's work, and usually beyond, to help achieve company goals, sometimes working with systems that lack the agility and efficiency to make short work of what are tediously manual processes--but there is also flexibility to help achieve a work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to foster an "inclusive" environment where all employees feel appreciated and acknowledged by management. The efforts made to increase communication and make improvements are to be applauded. Companies--and people--are not perfect, but management is making the effort to improve based upon employees' suggestions and feedback.

    Pros

You've gotta be very proud of being part of International SOS family. Hard working employees can be promoted within the company. Great opportunity working with a group of very intelligent people with multi lingual and multi culture background. If you are lucky, you get to travel to other International SOS offices around the world.

    Cons

The Long 3 X12 hours can be very exhausting, the nature of the job can be very stressful, you have to be willing to work holidays, weekends, nights depends on your shift as it is a 24/7 operation. This job is not for everyone.

    Advice to Management

I can definitely see the improvement with New Management, they are definitely listening to what their fellow CSE have to say and take that into consideration in terms of managing.

I worked at MedAire full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - MedAire's business is very interesting, affording employees the opportunity to work with international colleagues and clients within the fairly glamorous worlds of aviation and yachting.
    - MedAire is more social than most companies I've worked for and the people--both in Phoenix and abroad--are generally a very fun bunch.
    - Management definitely cares about the business and are generally easy to work with.
    - Because MedAire is a small company within a larger, international organization (International SOS), you have access to more resources than you would in most small companies, but also the opportunity for affect more change than you might in a large company.
    - There is some opportunity to travel.

    Cons

    - Pay is entirely average. It's not terrible, but definitely can't be listed as a "pro."
    - Because of the international nature of the business, you might find yourself doing business at odd hours to accommodate other time zones. (Can be a good or a bad thing based on preferences.)
    - While there is certainly an opportunity to grow within the organization, it might require a move to a different location.

I have been working at MedAire full-time

    Pros

Pay is fair. Work schedule is nice.

    Cons

POORLY MANAGED!! Middle management has no idea how to run an efficient workplace. Upper management is run from Singapore. So they don't care about the disaster that is MedAire. NOT AN EMPLOYEE FRIENDLY COMPANY. If you need a steady paycheck this will work. If you are looking to be satisfied by your job, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.

    Advice to Management

LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

I have been working at MedAire full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    3 day work weeks.

    Cons

Compensation is not equivalent to amount of work. Not enough staff at the Global Response Center to be able to satisfy the demand. Constant clients are joining, but employees are not being trained. Initial training is poor, which causes stress for CSE and Nurses. Management does not come straight forward about reviews, raises, or any personal or professional advancement. The employee must chase for anything to be completed. Poor company.

    Advice to Management

Fire most of management, and rehire people who know what they're doing with a company of this magnitude.

I worked at MedAire full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They provide a great service internationally to commercial aviation, private jets, and maritime industry.

    Cons

Staff always late, being leads and CSE, pay does not line up with day to day task, we are abused in our role, unprofessional staff and environment, management does not listen, they say one thing and do another, understaffed both nurses and CSE, overall negative environment and all they seem to focus on is numbers, no human touch.

    Advice to Management

If I knew they would take advice I would give some, but since it seems they are all seasoned and stuck in their ways it will never change, too much wrong has gone on for to long and been acceptable, so it's what they know. Very unprofessional and seems all management are best friends. Constant drinking and bad mouthing amounts staff and management.
