Pros
Got hired here because it’s close to where I live. My drive to work was about 15-minutes. That, my friends, is the only positive thing that I can think of regarding that company.
Cons
I’ll start with dispatch. When you show up for a patient pick up, the staff at the facility will complain that you’re an hour late, or an hour early. It’s like for every non-dialysis transport you get, you’re either really really early, or really really late. It got to the point to where I’d just say - “I don’t know ma’am. I drove right here when I got the call.” If you’re into running mostly dialysis patient transports, where the patient is in a coma and on a vent (so there’s an RT with you), then this is the place for you. That’s going to be the majority of what you’ll be doing. Don’t count on getting your sign-on bonus (if they’re still offering that) unless you scream and yell and threaten them. When you get your paycheck, go to your bank ASAP and cash it. Don’t deposit it at the ATM. Cash it. Get the cash from the bank teller. Once you have the cash in your hand, THEN deposit the cash. Trust me on this.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at MedCoast Ambulance part-time for more than a year
Pros
Large company with good opportunity for personal growth. Folks here are fast-moving and the management. Co-workers I've been with are professional and caring.
Cons
Not that I noticed that would really irritate me. The only complaint that naturally comes with this job is the possibility of working holidays and weekends, but it was kind of expected.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at MedCoast Ambulance full-time for more than a year
Pros
The wide range of calls from dialysis, vent pts, plastic surgery, ER call, psych, jail transfers and hospital discharges.
Cons
Rigs are breaking down, hard to get a hold of HR, have to force to give sign on bonus and months late, bouncing checks, owners seem to blame everything on EMTs.
