I have been working at MedExpert full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are really smart and motivated people working here. There is a nice collaborative culture and people that are always wanting to help answer each others questions. Open office space, more office amenities in the last year and clean

    Cons

the office location is hard to get to if you don't live near here, however given the flexible hours available you can plan your commute and hours accordingly

    Advice to Management

keep up good work and hire more people that are good for the culture. I'm happy to be apart of it.

I have been working at MedExpert full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've found that MedExpert is a place where you grow a lot as an employee. I am daily working with people both on phones and in the office like coworkers and I have really improved because of the company culture. Coworkers are always willing to help and there is always something to do. Recently I acoomplished some real personal goals that were grown at work

    Cons

it'd be nice to get more recognition for little things

    Advice to Management

I would put together some employee of the month or something

I have been working at MedExpert full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been working here for a long time and I still like my job. Yes there are ups and downs but that would be anywhere. My managers listen to me and I feel part of any process to make things better when it has to do with my work. I like the office space and there are recent updates too which have been great for making days feel healthier like good snacks and stand up desks and in office eliptical machines.

    Cons

I work long hours and sometimes they go even longer if we have projects but mostly its ok

    Advice to Management

i think we need more employees

I have been working at MedExpert full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is alot of impactful work with clients, even when the calls are hard
Good size of people, especially the internal teams because there are enough people to have structure but small enough to be heard
There is a place for everyone in different parts of their career, junior or newer people will learn from more experienced

    Cons

Difficult at times because each case can be unique

    Advice to Management

keep being clear and straightforward about why MedExpert is better than the competition

I have been working at MedExpert full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ever since I started, I've been pleasantly surprised to learn that the culture and environment is even better than I had expected. After having worked for many different health companies like insurances and health call centers I tried to have realistic expectations because those work environments can get really stressful and behind the scenes are really disorganized or overly complicated. medExpert is special and does a good job of including everyone and being very transparent so that you don't feel like you are all alone at work. Perks include working close to founders because they come onsite and make themselves accessible, they do really care about the company and employees and recently even gave back in a big way to some of us which was huge for me.

    Cons

The con for me is the location, i don't live too many miles away but as with everything in the bay area it takes way longer than it needs to to get to work

    Advice to Management

continue to be more transparent with employees in every position. Its a really important part of our culture

I worked at MedExpert full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I use to work for MedExpert as an MIC/RN. I left because my family moved, and I followed with them. I know work in a clinic. I gained valuable experience while working for MedExpert that I wouldn't have been able to learn anywhere else. I use a lot of what I did there in my new job.

    Cons

The systems were hard to learn

    Advice to Management

I wanted more training documents when I worked there. Wish I could still use the services somehow in my new job.

I worked at MedExpert full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were friendly and they were the only reason I had a decent 10 mins per day there
Not sure if free sodas are a considered a pro
And for the time I was there we got lunch 3 times...i dont know why people keep saying they get lunch once a week-must be the management writing these oh so positive reviews. The only reason nurses are there is because they hate nursing and couldn't make it in the real world of nursing

    Cons

    Revolving door
So many employees quit and left the 'boxes' full of clients, no one bothered to check in on them.
Management is all family and personal friends, don't ever think you'll get promoted no matter how hard you work
Supposed to receive a bonus after 3 months but instead you get called in and nothing but negative feedback during your evaluation (to the point where 'you took too many bathroom breaks on day X therefore you didn't work hard enough')
Been 10 years and still calling themselves a start up, they need to learn that they will never be successful

    Advice to Management

Go home and stop pretending to help people

I have been working at MedExpert full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free drinks, lunches a few times a week, AT TIMES help people who need a second opinion from a doctor, and flexible hours only because they don't believe in sick pay, personal time off, or holiday pay. OK job if you're desperate and need cash, student, or need a job ASAP while looking for a CAREER. It's an easy job, no thinking required.

    Cons

POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE POSTED BY COMPANY OWNERS!

Since it's a family owned company, there is very small chance to move up in the company. This is a big family, don't count on a promotion. The attitude from the owners is "you don't like it, get out." Directors will steal your ideas and pass them off as their own. Boring job, same calls day in day out. You never know what to expect when you come in the door each day. I spoke to many people, sick people with sick children, who lost their insurance due to the contract this company has set up with various unions and other company's. A lot of lies and cover- up's. Again, the positive reviews on here are posted by the company owners- so obvious!

    Advice to Management

They won't listen, why bother? Stop being shady and stop posting positive reviews. How do you sleep at night doing what you do?
