    Pros

3-12hrs was awesome, wonderful to work with and for.

    Cons

They closed the branch I worked out. Can't get another job with Medexpress even though I showed up every day and gladly would work for others when needed. Still believes great place though

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Work three days a week

    Cons

Really bad pay for all you have to do. It’s almost Christmas time and we are not allowed to have overtime or pick up any shifts to save the company money instead of us having extra money. FOAs and Medical assistants do not get paid hardly anything for what they have to do. You are overworked during 12 hours and you will be alone a lot because nobody can pick up shifts but right after the holidays we will be able to pick up shifts again...

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees and quit using people

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Incredibly friendly staff, Flexibility, lots of overtime opportunity, 4 days off, decent pay (for front office)

    Cons

Poor management, scheduling conflicts happen a lot, not much chance for growth, feels like no one listens to your opinion, some policies make no sense.

    Advice to Management

LISTEN to your employees, don't assume everyone is replaceable

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Supervisor treats you with respect and genuinely seems to care.

    Cons

Lack of consistency in training. You are not given an on line manual to work with or even a hard copy. Everyone is considered a trainer and so person to person it changes and in the end you are responsible to know which is the correct version of that training. Lack of communication for Part time/casual, so if there are changes and you work twice a month, you are responsible. Remember you aren't allowed any training materials and you aren't allowed email access. You are not only responsible for knowing all changes before sitting down, but you can't sign in early to read pages of emaiks that came in since you last worked. If you are busy when you punch in it could be hours before you can attempt to read, study, research the pages of changes waiting for you. If you work every day it helps, but part time/casual is a set up for fast turn over. Also you learn by doing, but not with low hours. Co-workers expect you to know, not very helpful when you hardly work and have questions. Easier for culture to work in a regular ED than UrgentCare

    Advice to Management

Training with a manual, ability for notes and work flow study when at home. Enail accessibility from home.

3 12 hours shifts a week. Its great.

    Cons

Too many logs, too many check off lists, always rushing, too many e mails, too many learning on demand videos.

    Advice to Management

Managment is too worry about statistics numbers. They see their employees as numbers, not ad human beings

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care part-time

    Pros

Love the staff there. Like how each center provide monthly snacks. Working 12 hours and being constantly busy sometimes it is hard to take a lunch. These snacks are your best friends

    Cons

Hate the management and poor hourly rate. Do not feel appreciated by the company. Company only care about two numbers: NPS and TPT

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better, don't treat your employee like a number, instead of saying you appreciate your employees we like to see you actually showing it.

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time

    Pros

Good pay. Decent work life balance

    Cons

No ability to improve workflow. The electronic health record is restrictive and implies all physicians/providers are not intelligent.

    Advice to Management

Get a new EMR, allow individual sites to come up with solutions specific to their site.
