I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone in the clinic is very helpful, especially during training or when the clinic gets busy. You are able to work 12 hour shifts so you only have to work 3 days a week. Our manager is also very good about working with your schedule, if you need to split a shift and work two six hour days instead of one twelve hour day. Anytime I have a question or need help I have been able to ask anyone and everyone has been very helpful. The pay is great as well, especially for working in the front office and not holding a clinic title.

    Cons

The only con I have is that some nights you may not get out of the clinic by the closing time. You are not guaranteed to leave by 8pm. You are required to stay until the last patient is out of the building. The latest I have had to stay so far is 45 minutes to an hour past closing.

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

PTO, flexible schedule , three 12 hour shifts

    Cons

At first , I thought this job was decent ; pay was ok.. not horrible for an urgent care . Once I realized that I had to do urine/hair/blood drug screens , collect urine specimens , administer vaccines /draw blood, give breathing treatments etc , I was annoyed because I went to college to be a RT. I didn’t mind doing it after a while because the job is extremely easy ; but when the MA’s just sit there while the RN and RT are doing their job , it gets frusturating . I’m ready to quit as soon as I get called in for an interview.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team . Ensure everyone is doing their fair share.

I worked at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time

    Pros

great for a first job for a pa/np/physician- you see a lot & learn time management.

    Cons

I only worked here 9 months, but literally all my co-workers always complained about how "good" it used to be to work here until they sold out to a larger company.
Felt like a McDonalds of health care- if you don't give the patient their requested zpack and work excuse you get poor ratings and then don't get a raise.
    open 8-8 everyday

I have been working at MedExpress Urgent Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great center staff, flexibility in working from home. Potential for other pros if the plans of the company pan out, though the plans tend to change rapidly and constantly.

    Cons

On call anytime Center is open. Area leadership lives to undermine. Expected to be tied to company phone and email at all times.
