I have been working at MedImpact full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Options for advancement, great benefits, easy access to resources and training to prep you and excel you in your career.

    Cons

Potential of working overtime during busy and as business needs. Is a desk job, which is not suitable for everyone who prefers a career that allows you to not be confined to a desk (i.e. retail setting)

    Advice to Management

Keep working with PACs who show strong interest in growing with the company and keep offering fun ways for us to break away for team builders (I.ie. Catered lunches occasionally, pharmacy tech week activities, holiday activities)

I have been working at MedImpact full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Well structured organization. Pay is average/fair on salary. Committed to succeed!

    Cons

Overworked and no life balance. They will keep adding accounts and more work without any care. They do not hire additional staff very often so it is put on existing employees who are already overloaded. They do not compensate for sales that should be paid commission, instead only small bonus if corp. meets it's yearly goal. No recognition for good work performed either. High Turnover Company, Everyone quits when...

    Advice to Management

Hire more staff to help with the team effort and not overload good existing employees. STOP being cheap and pay better bonus and commission to those helping increase revenue for the company.

I have been working at MedImpact full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Beautiful headquarters, other locations not-so-much In the right position, you can fly on Fred's personal corporate jet Some positions have remote work opportunities

    Cons

Many of the reviewers already covered the nepotism, bigoted management and toxic culture, there is a reason why turnover is so high. There is absolutely no investment in the people. The annual incentive bonus goals are set purposefully too high to obtain so they don't have to be paid. Even if goals are met, they will find a way to "hold" your bonus to keep from paying it out. Expect to be worked to the bone with no recognition...

    Advice to Management

Clean house in management and HR, provide a culture that encourages growth and a positive culture. Place accountability on management to promote a positive environment, not just front-line staff. Hire management that has the right skill set not just tenure. Learn how to compete in the PBM space. Integrate the company with formal processes and communication. Hire someone who knows how to evaluate overall staffing so areas...

I worked at MedImpact full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good Pay and you get to learn the ins and outs of the PBM industry.

    Cons

Stress is not worth the pay. Horrible Management with no communication. We need leaders, not for you to be a "boss" when it's beneficial for you. Management likes to torture and take power trips on those they don't like.

    Advice to Management

Let someone manage who actually wants to be a leader to their employees and stop being so oblivious to the the horrible Management that everyone knows goes on.

I worked at MedImpact full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Annual bonus for everyone; nice building; nice parking structure; near the 15 freeway; revenue is good

    Cons

IT culture is adversarial towards business partners; the culture is perpetuated from the top (CIO) and reaches down to VP, director, and manager level. They frequently play the 'blame game' by first meeting to determine what happened then plan on how to pin the blame on the business partner(s). If you try to do the right thing for the company you are retaliated against by IT management; the most duplicitous group I...

      Cons

Poor 401K match Poor work/life balance Management Poor culture

      Advice to Management

The Benefits department has such a high turnover its laughable. Management is reactive instead of proactive. Favoritism runs rampant. Advice to management is clean house and replace all management in the benefits department. I wouldn’t trust them to manage a gas station bathroom. There’s a desperate need to bring in innovators and proactive leaders. The department is also understaffed and undertrained due to the high...

I have been working at MedImpact full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

-relaxed work environment -potentially a lot of work, but never feel rushed or stressed -learn about new drugs and medical procedures (in my department anyway) -generally pretty friendly all around. i'm not the gossip-y type though, and i ignore all the gossip i do actually hear. -million times better than retail hell if you're a pharmacy tech -lots of room for growth and movement, as it's encouraged

      Cons

-pay could be better, but again way better than retail for techs -overally experience will depend on which department/team you are a part of
